Adrian rubbed his chin. "I see. Do you have any book written about this specific technique?"

Tiger just shook his head.

"No. It is passed down verbally from our ancestors."

Adrian nodded. "Okay then. Your method is actually pretty good."

Tiger chuckled loudly.

"Yes, I know it is good. There is a reason why I am the strongest warrior here. That is all we have to offer you directly. I can teach you this specific method in exchange for the table of goods. And on top of that, of course, I will point you towards a tribe that has mastered the art of making top-tier weapons. There are rumors that they use the rain for this, but no one has confirmed it yet."

"Well, they aren’t much when compared to yours, but you can consider them the best blacksmiths of our island. And no one dares to go against the blacksmith tribe, because everyone else will collectively attack the offenders. That specific tribe is under an island-wide protection. So I suggest that you don’t go against them." he continued as he glanced at the steel spear in his hand.

Adrian nodded in understanding. "Sure."

"And then there is another tribe," Tiger continued, his expression shifting into a slightly annoyed frown. "They have this secret method of getting strong. Firstly, they don’t exactly hunt much at all. The number of people they have in their tribe is basically around fifty people, which is more than us. And on top of that, they hunt less than us too."

Tiger let out a soft, slightly jealous sigh. "Even though we hunt so much, the food we have is barely enough to last us until the next rain hits. If the rain take more than five or six days to arrive, we would need to starve for one or two whole days."

He shook his head.

"But those guys? They hunt almost half when compared to us. But even then, they barely starve. They never complain about starving, and they all look pretty healthy. And on top of that, their skin is exceptionally tough for what it is. While you can consider my tribe to be one of the strongest warrior tribes, they would easily be coming second."

Adrian thought about it for a while before speaking. "So each and every individual tribe has their own specific way of using this mana in the rain, if I am exactly not wrong."

He held up two fingers.

"Because this specific blacksmithing tribe that you talked about... you say that their weapons are special. I only see two different ways that is possible. One is where they probably found a specific way to use this rain for somehow making the weapons better. Or they basically just have a much better smelting technology. It could exactly go both ways and there is a close to fifty-fifty chance here."

He lowered one finger.

"But the second tribe that you talked about... the ones making their skin a lot tougher? That thing is something that could either be a genetic mutation, which is extremely unlikely considering the fact that the entire tribe basically has that exact trait, like you just said. So the only other logical option is that they have a specific method to use this mana to basically make their skin tougher. Well, like you said, they have a secret method just like you guys."

Tiger nodded firmly.

"Yes. We also believe that theory."

He crossed his arms, looking slightly grim.

"We actually went against each other three times in the past. My ancestors have just gone around telling the stories. The stories have been passed down verball, like the methods. And while we did win every single time, we also lost more people than them in the clashes."

Tiger gritted his teeth slightly.

"They just survive a lot more. But while they don’t exactly die instantly, they become useless since every single time they go on a fight against us, their injured ones are injured in a really serious, permanent way."

He gestured to his own body.

"Some completely lose their limbs, while some lose their eyes. Their injuries are so bad that it is hard to recover fully from those injuries. But on the other hand, unless the injury is extremely serious for us... our bodies can heal right back."

"Soooo... it’s hard to damage them in general but you guys recover better?" Adrian asked and the guy nodded.

The two of them continued to talk as they walked around the tribe until Adrian heard wails and screams from a certain hut. Hearing this, he turned to look at Tiger and couldn’t help but ask with a serious expression on his face.

"Why’s there a woman screaming here?"

"She’s giving birth." Tiger said as he glanced at the hut with a fond smile. "Her twin sister gave birth to a child just a few weeks ago and the next time it rains, we will set up a ceremony for him. He will walk the path of the warrior just like I do."

Hearing those words made Adrian lean in. He was instantly interested. He did not bother hiding his curiosity as he looked at the tribal leader.

"Can you tell me more about that ceremony?" Adrian asked. "Why do you guys do it like that?"

Tiger crossed his arms. "When a baby is born here, it is mostly born without any strength. Every single baby is weak. but after they grow up for a few weeks, we make them drink the rainwater. When they drink this rainwater, they are blessed by the gods to become great warriors."

Adrian slowly nodded. He was already running a few theories in his head.

"So you just make them drink the water?" Adrian asked.

"Yes." Tiger grunted. "We also use this to gauge how strong they will become. While our methods to gauge their strength fail a few times, it is mostly accurate."

"I see, I see," Adrian said and rubbed his chin. "But how do you gauge their talent? How do you know how strong they will actually become?"
