The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 293: Beast Tide Overwhelms Licorice Camp, Who is the Strongest Level 3 Wizard Apprentice?

  • Next Chapter

The Antuun Clan agreed to Wang Ya’s demands. They would sign a new Wizard Contract tonight at the ‘Night Night Night’ Wizard Tavern.

Wang Ya’s eyes glinted. He withdrew his consciousness from the Wizard Mark and walked to the windowsill. Gazing out at the scenery of the Three-Layered Space, he felt a surge of pride.

With this, eighty percent of his preparations were complete.

The remaining twenty percent depended on Harak and himself.

Harak’s Black Servant ability could resurrect Black Souls one by one, restoring them to their original Power.

However, there were no Level 3 Wizard Apprentices among the Black Souls.

As for Extraordinary Creatures, their Soul Power was inherently weak and their Spiritual Power was even scarcer. Many of them couldn’t even match a mortal’s intelligence.

‘This probably has something to do with Rilis.’

The Black Core didn’t contain any Black Souls of Level 3 Wizard Apprentices to begin with.

A large portion of her power came from her Black Souls. Although she could defeat Wizards of the same level, it wasn’t easy to kill them using only the Black Souls.

Moreover, using the Rusted Iron Sword would cause the souls of slain enemies to vanish completely, meaning no Black Soul could be created.

Although Wang Ya also planned to use a human wave tactic, he wouldn’t be using Black Souls to pad the numbers.

Instead, he would use the genetic fragments of Extraordinary Creatures from the Infinite Black Core, leveraging his Infectious Deep Touch ability to create an army of Bacteriophage Infected.

The genetic fragments would allow their Power to increase rapidly. It wasn’t impossible for hundreds of High-tier Extraordinary Creatures to appear.

Extraordinary Creatures were no match for Wizards of the same level; they could even be defeated by those weaker than them.

But that was on an individual basis. If their numbers grew large enough, even an Extreme Wizard Apprentice would be intimidated.

Wang Ya didn’t mind recreating the scene from the Secret Realm competition.

The Eye of Truth’s notification was just what Wang Ya had been expecting and waiting for.

Wang Ya’s figure vanished from the room.

[Target: Wang Ya Harak]

[Power: Level 3 Wizard Apprentice]

[Age: 29]

[Current Spirit Power: 33.5]

[Current Physique: 27.3]

[Particle Energy: 44 units]

[Dream Power: 48 units]

[Dream-Recalling Meditation Method: ‘High-tier Chapter (1/15)’]

[Current Active Neurons: 8.8%]

The fluctuating aura of Particle Energy caused small objects in the room to float into the air before slowly drifting back down.

Propelled by the power of the Witch Array, Wang Ya’s figure appeared outside the Illusory Dream Tower.

Maple leaves filled the sky. A figure in a black Wizard Robe walked amid the swirling, falling leaves, flickering in and out of sight. Each step he took covered the distance of dozens.

For Wang Ya, this recent improvement wasn’t particularly significant.

His Extraordinary Spiritual Power had only increased by about 0.5.

His Physique score had increased by even less. The beneficial radiation effect of his Particle Energy was steadily diminishing.

As for his Extraordinary Spiritual Power, Wang Ya wasn’t too worried. He had the Dream World to mine for resources.

He planned to pay more attention to improving his Physique.

The improvement to his neurons was still slow, but Wang Ya could feel the difference quite clearly. His mind was sharper, and his thinking was more rational and lucid.

「’Night Night Night’ Wizard Tavern.」

The sound of the door opening clearly drew the attention of the Wizards in the room.

“Looks like I’m not late.”

There were three figures in the room: Kelan Wizard, Kaze Antuun, and an Extreme Wizard Apprentice named ‘Big Ben Antuun’.

“Another two minutes and you would have been,” Kelan Wizard said with a light smile, her long eyelashes fluttering. She took the Wizard Contract Wang Ya presented, signed her name with a feather pen, and sealed it with her blood.

Kaze Antuun glanced at the slightly shorter Big Ben Antuun and nodded. He signed his name first, then pricked his finger to complete the blood seal on the contract.

Big Ben Antuun was short, but his face was that of an old man. After signing the Wizard Contract, he frowned at Wang Ya. “Weren’t there supposed to be four Extreme Wizard Apprentices?”

Wang Ya signed his name and sealed it with his blood, then smiled faintly. “Aren’t there already four of us?”

The three Extreme Wizard Apprentices paused. Their senses couldn’t be wrong; there were definitely only the three of them in the room.

“Wang Ya Harak, what kind of joke is this? This isn’t child’s play; we’re going into a real battle. According to the plan, we must have four Extreme Wizard Apprentices to have any hope of suppressing the Wizards at Licorice Camp.”

Big Ben Antuun’s words trailed off. His mouth hung slightly open as he stared, stunned, at the bird-like creature on Wang Ya’s shoulder.

‘When did it even appear? This strange bird…’ A chill ran down Big Ben Antuun’s spine. He hadn’t sensed it at all, as if it had just materialized out of thin air.

Kelan Wizard’s pupils constricted. She could see a bit more of the truth. As a fellow Dream Wizard, she could feel the dense aura of Dream Power coming from Harak; it was so strong it was on the verge of pulling a corner of the Dream Realm into reality.

Kaze Antuun subconsciously clenched his right hand. “A Beast King?” he asked, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Stroking Harak’s head, Wang Ya gave a cool smile. “I initiated the Black Sun plan, so of course I have the means to see it through. Harak is no weaker than any Extreme Wizard Apprentice. In fact, he might even provide a special surprise.”

Kaze Antuun’s expression was solemn, betraying no emotion. His deep voice echoed, “The Antuun Clan is, of course, willing to believe you.”
