The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 300: Burning Fire Attachment, Nothing is Impossible

  • Next Chapter

Komore was having trouble processing what had happened. He was sure he had killed the Elemental Wizard.

Gripping the Thousand Flower Sword in his right hand, he unleashed a Ten Thousand Tribulations Slash.

The Ten Thousand Tribulations Sword Wave completely suppressed the high-temperature particle waves.

Before he could even think, that familiar Biological Force Field once again clashed with his own.

‘The Biological Force Field is different.’

Komore keenly noticed the change. It seemed more subtle, and it was actually merging with his own Biological Force Field.

SIZZLE!

His Particle Energy Shield was suddenly struck.

It was an Energy Flame, even more powerful than before. It was unleashed so quickly that he didn’t have time to react.

Komore’s expression turned grim. Thirty percent of the Particle Energy in his body vanished in an instant. The Witchcraft he cast formed a massive gray sphere directly behind him. As the Particle Energy condensed, a gray eyeball materialized on the sphere’s surface.

High-tier Witchcraft [Eye of Ten Thousand Tribulations]

The moment the eerie gray eyeball appeared, it formed a faint Ten Thousand Tribulations Particle Energy Domain, instantly dispersing the burning Heart Dream Fire.

It even repelled the Fear-Burning Factors within the Illusion Demon Domain.

‘The Power of Wizards from the Black Tower is indeed greater than that of Wizards from the Outer Zone, both in terms of Witchcraft intensity and perception.’

Wang Ya felt himself being locked onto; the eyeball had fixed its gaze upon him.

The next moment, he was struck directly by the Ten Thousand Tribulations Particle Energy. His Particle Energy Shield only held for half a second before a tearing pain shot through him. His body disintegrated into tiny fragments, scattering a profusion of blood.

He was dead!!

In the outside world, aboard the Flying Griffin, Wang Ya gazed at the scene within the Heart Dream Mirror, the curve of his lips lifting even higher.

‘Another new technique.’

He was curious to see just how many tricks this guy had up his sleeve.

‘He’s a Direct Lineage Wizard from a Black Tower Wizard Clan who has been in the Separation Land for one hundred and twenty years. The fact that his Wizard Clan still hasn’t given up on him is enough to confirm his importance.’

‘It would be impossible for him not to have some life-saving measures.’

‘What I have to do is test out all his techniques beforehand in the Dream World.’

‘The difference between the known and the unknown is vast.’

‘If I act recklessly in the real world, Komore might realize the situation is dire and use one of his trump cards to escape.’

‘Once he gets back to the Black Tower and calls for backup from the powerful Wizards in his clan, it will be a huge problem for me and the others.’

‘One should never underestimate the methods of a High Tier Wizard.’

‘Any action, once taken, is bound to leave a trail. There’s a high probability it will be traced back to us.’

‘Even the Dark Land has the likes of Sea Wizards with Divination Witchcraft, forcing the Berkeley Clan to wander between Wizard Cities like stray dogs.’

‘They’re afraid that if they stay in one Wizard City for too long, Law Enforcement Wizards will come knocking on their door. They can’t even sleep soundly.’

‘They even have to minimize their use of Particle Energy.’

‘And as for trying to leave via a Border Wizard City?’

‘Due to the special situation in Celestial Wings Wizard City, the Border Wizard Cities are now heavily garrisoned. The number of Extreme Wizard Apprentices stationed there is maintained at around two.’

‘The closer the Wizards of the Berkeley Clan get to a border city, the greater their chance of being exposed.’

A large amount of Dream Power surged into the Heart Dream Mirror. This time, he consumed a full ninety percent of his Dream Power.

Wang Ya’s eyes turned cold. ‘I’ve tested all the techniques I needed to.’

‘If this goes on any longer, Komore is bound to notice something is wrong.’

He prepared to force out his opponent’s final trump card.

…

Countless fine blue threads pierced through the building. With a tremendous roar, the Circular Tower completely collapsed.

Amidst the rubble and ruins, dust filled the sky, yet a storm of blue threads shot out, overwhelmingly assailing a lone figure.

The figure was shrouded in a Wind Blade Tornado, moving at extreme speed while carrying another person on their shoulder. But under the assault of the blue threads, they struggled to evade the attacks.

SHINK!

A thread pierced through Victor’s robes. He twisted his body and landed on the ground, waving his right hand. A torrent of formless, intangible Wind Blades swept out, severing the threads that tried to entangle him.

Victor let out a long breath. As an Elemental Wizard, he wasn’t suited for such high-intensity physical exertion. ‘If I followed the Wizard Path of a Blood Wizard,’ he thought, ‘I could naturally slip through the tiniest gaps and launch a close-quarters attack on that unknown Wizard.’

Every time he cast his Witchcraft, it was blocked by the blue threads—either nullified or worn away.

‘So persistent!’

This was giving Victor a headache. His pupils reflected the blue threads piercing toward him once more as ten percent of the Particle Energy in his body vanished.

As his Extraordinary Spiritual Power surged, an invisible wind pressure radiated out from him, pressing outward in all directions. The blue threads were blocked by this pressure, repelled.

The Kelan Wizard emerged slowly from the ruins, his eyes fixed on Victor, who was using the moment to try and awaken Komore.

A strange smile played on his lips.

CRACK!

The ground suddenly split open, and a pair of cold eyes emerged from the fissure.

Victor’s pupils contracted, and his expression changed drastically. ‘There’s another one!’

‘Damn it!’

‘It’s too late!’

A terrifying burst of Particle Energy erupted. It was the fluctuation of a Witchcraft that had been suppressed for a long time, now unleashed in its entirety.

A tremendous roar reverberated from underground as an overwhelming torrent of Energy annihilated everything in its path.

In the face of such a deluge of Energy, Victor’s own Particle Energy seemed fragile, utterly incapable of putting up any resistance.

Crucially, the area of effect also enveloped Komore.
