The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth
Chapter 307: The Eye of Truth's Clean Sweep, Rules, and the Book of All Things
Kaze Antuun said with a deadpan expression, “You are an Elemental Wizard. Choosing the Black Sun Wizard’s Elemental Wizard Path will be of the greatest help to you, and it is the only one that truly suits you.”
The Kelan Wizard spread her hands and said with a smile, “I have no objections whatsoever.”
Wang Ya rubbed his chin; naturally, he wasn’t going to refuse. His goal was to find the Black Sun Wizard’s legacy of Special Particle Energy, as well as the experience and Extraordinary Knowledge needed to advance to an Official Wizard and achieve a Perfect Balance.
Having settled his thoughts, the Black Sun Badge in his hand emitted a gloomy dark light that enveloped his entire body. He faded away, vanishing from where he stood.
“Kelan Wizard, you may choose now.”
Big Ben Antuun looked like he wanted to speak again, but Kaze Antuun silenced him with another glare.
The Kelan Wizard smiled faintly. “In that case, I’ll choose the Black Wizard.”
The soul is inextricably linked to Extraordinary Spiritual Power. The attainments of an Official Wizard in soul and Curse Witchcraft would undoubtedly be of immense benefit to her.
Perhaps she could forge her own Wizard Path and no longer be influenced by the Illusory Dream Wizard.
Every disciple holds the conviction that they will one day surpass their master.
The Kelan Wizard was no exception, her eyes filled with determination.
Following in Wang Ya’s footsteps, she teleported to the corresponding level.
….
The ninth floor of the Black Sun Tower.
This was the highest floor of the tower, and also the level with the smallest area.
What came into view was a very spacious corridor with redwood floors, leading to different areas and marked with various signs.
For example: Study, Lounge, Living Room, Meditation Room, and so on.
There was nothing particularly Extraordinary about it. In fact, it was quite plain, much like the layout of the Ancient Castle in the Three-Layered Space that Wang Ya had seen.
As for the location of the legacy, Wang Ya headed straight for the passageway to the study.
The internal energy supply was abundant, enough to keep the place clean and tidy for thousands of years.
Wang Ya could even smell the faint scent of dawnwood.
The Black Sun Badge he held emitted a dark glow and began to exert a pulling force, also directed toward the study.
‘Looks like I came the right way.’
Hanging on the wooden double doors was a letter. The envelope was sealed, apparently left for whoever came after.
Wang Ya observed it with his Eye of Truth and found nothing unusual; it was just an ordinary letter.
No unknown question marks appeared, either.
So he reached out and took down the envelope. A line of text was written on the front.
[“My successor, I bet you were just captivated by my heroic figure in the mural. After all, a man of my peerless talent is a rare sight in the entire history of the Wizard World. The fact that you obtained my legacy and passed my trials proves that fate has brought us together. Consider yourself lucky. Inside the study, you’ll find everything you’re looking for, along with my research on the Deep Blue Great Wizard. If possible, I hope you can help me verify the contents of those records.”]
The corner of Wang Ya’s mouth twitched. His perception of the Black Sun Wizard took a completely different turn.
Judging from the words on the letter, it wasn’t hard to imagine the Black Sun Wizard’s personality.
He liked to use his wicked sense of humor to mess with people and test them.
But if you passed his trials, he wasn’t the least bit stingy with his legacy, proving to be both magnanimous and generous.
The mural’s content was also the Black Sun Wizard’s deliberate creation, as if to intentionally lead them to a certain conclusion.
If the Black Sun Wizard were still alive, he would probably be hiding somewhere, clutching his stomach and howling with laughter as he watched his successors cautiously question the Celestial Horse Tower Spirit. He would relish their terrified expressions, their bouts of fighting with shadows, and their ultimate frustration upon realizing they were just putting on a one-man show.
Wang Ya had to admit his own emotions had been stirred up, and he had fallen for it too.
He pushed the door open and walked right in.
To call it a study was an understatement; it was more like a private library.
There were ten rows of bookshelves.
All of them were filled with books, the signs of being hand-bound clearly visible.
They must all be works written by the Black Sun Wizard himself.
The different sections represented the corresponding parts of the Elemental Wizard legacy.
For instance, there was a Low-tier Witchcraft section, a High-tier Witchcraft section, a Basic Extraordinary Knowledge section… and Wang Ya saw the section he was looking for: Properties and Transformations of Particle Energy.
He pulled out one of the books.
[The Global Fluidity of the Elemental Tide: Natural particle energy is not without its patterns. I have traveled the entire Wizard Continent and discovered its regularities, which seem to be related to the rise and fall of the Apollo Mountain Range… —A work by the Black Sun Wizard.]
A brilliant light shone in Wang Ya’s eyes. Even a single, randomly chosen book was enough to captivate him, making him eager to dive in and begin the Absorption of its Extraordinary Knowledge.
There were far more than a thousand books here.
This was the elemental legacy of a Level 3 Great Wizard. He had surely written about every aspect of his journey, from the most minute details to the process of advancing to a Level 3 Wizard.
Every insight, every gain—it must all be recorded within these books.
This was a massive treasure trove, waiting for him to uncover its riches.
Unfortunately, he only had one short month to master and study the Extraordinary Books here.
After one month, the Black Sun Badge would once again disappear from the Black Sun Ruins, scattering to a random location somewhere on the Wizard Continent.
This seemed to be the Black Sun Wizard’s intention—to create a legacy site that would endure through the ages.
The Wizards who received his legacy would not be a select few, but many. In every era, someone would have the chance to obtain it.
As for whether there was any deeper meaning to this, Wang Ya had no desire to speculate. He only wanted to immerse himself in these books of legacy and absorb the Extraordinary Knowledge he needed.
