The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 331 Duoguyin's Shock, Wang Ya Is Comparable to a Legendary Great Wizard

HISS! HISS!

Her robe began to disintegrate on its own, gradually fading into nothingness. Just like the giant purple snake, it left no physical trace.

Duoguyin stood atop the alley wall, completely naked, her proud figure on full display. With her hair disheveled, she reached up and smeared the purple eyeshadow from her eyelids, creating strange patterns across her face.

Her pupils were also stained purple, and the world seen through her eyes became vastly different.

It was a thermal vision, like a snake’s, and it seemed she could now perceive enemies in special states.

Duoguyin’s expression was grave, a trace of lingering fear in her eyes.

That black beam of light had been terrifying. It was identical to the black flame lotus, yet she hadn’t sensed any aura or particle fluctuations from it.

If living flesh were struck by it, it would likely be annihilated into nothingness.

She couldn’t discern the principles behind its composition at all; it was just a deep, restrained blackness. Now, this black substance permeated the entire alley and the area beyond.

The black flame lotus acted as a core, connecting to more concealed locations through a network beneath the ground. This allowed the black flames to burn along these pathways, forming a vast region of black fire.

As far as the eye could see, there were only black flames. They didn’t burn fiercely, but rather faintly, maintaining a relative stability.

Duoguyin knew in her heart how terrifying these flames were. She absolutely could not touch them.

“Interesting. Where did you get the nerve to lay a trap for me?”

Duoguyin was genuinely curious. She had clearly fallen into a trap set by her opponent.

The giant purple snake had only devoured a clone. It had been wearing a Law Enforcement Wizard Robe, leading her to mistake it for the target himself.

The surrounding black flames covered everything, inside and out. She even instinctively sensed extreme danger from the nearby buildings.

There was no answer, only the sudden expansion of the black flames. At the same time, beams of black particles shot through the air from all directions at incredible speed.

For an ordinary Wizard, the moment they saw it would be their death sentence.

Duoguyin was so furious she laughed. Since when did a Level 3 Wizard Apprentice dare to challenge an Extreme Wizard Apprentice?

‘Does he think he’s one of those glorious Great Wizards from the annals of the Wizard Continent in their youth, capable of defeating the strong as the weak?’

‘What a joke!’

‘That sort of thing ended completely back in the ancient era.’

‘The treasures left behind from the Legendary Era were all divided up long ago. It’s impossible for a Wizard like that to emerge now.’

‘Any Wizard who thinks like that is the height of foolishness.’

A terrifying Biological Force Field, pulsating with the Extraordinary Bloodline in Duoguyin’s body, spread outward, creating a visible, formless pressure. Like compressed air, it forced all atmospheric matter away.

As the black particle beams pierced through it, they encountered a rare resistance, slowing them enough to be perceived by the naked eye, allowing her to react and dodge.

Wang Ya, hidden within the Shadow Realm, was a figure melted into the shadows of the alley corner.

Beneath his black mask, his indifferent eyes watched everything unfold. On his shoulder, Harak plucked one of its own feathers with its beak and merged it into the surrounding Shadow Realm.

Due to its Shadow Head Trait, Harak could also become a manipulator within the shadows.

The Biological Force Field, which was rapidly expanding and had even caused several buildings to collapse and crumble, washed over his position.

The Shadow Realm rippled and threatened to collapse, but reinforced by Harak’s feather, it finally stabilized.

‘The fusion of Spiritual Power and a Biological Force Field… as expected, every Extreme Wizard Apprentice has their own unique strengths.’

‘This is a powerful opponent.’

Wang Ya felt immense pressure. After all, this was an Extreme Wizard Apprentice.

A Level 3 Wizard Apprentice defeating an Extreme Wizard Apprentice was something that had never happened in the history of the Dark Land.

The Xugus Wizard had tried it once but had only lasted about three minutes. If other Wizards hadn’t rescued him, he probably would have been beaten to death on the Battlefield.

Perhaps such examples of the weak defeating the strong existed within more powerful Wizard Influences.

But at least in the Land of Mountains and Seas, it had never occurred.

Wang Ya took a deep breath. From Level 1 Wizard Apprentice all the way to Extreme Wizard Apprentice, every promotion was an advancement akin to a leap in life forms.

This gap was difficult to bridge. Combined with the difference in individual Particle Energy, the number of Witchcraft spells one could cast was limited.

This meant that the avenues for defeating a stronger Wizard were extremely few.

‘Where does the gap between me and an Extreme Wizard Apprentice lie?’

‘Is it Particle Energy?’

‘My Burning Silence Particle Energy has already undergone a qualitative transformation. It’s so terrifying that even I can’t touch it with my own body.’

‘Fire Core Fission and Fire Core Fusion are constantly occurring, granting the Burning Silence Particle Energy terrifying power and Traits.’

‘An Extreme Wizard Apprentice’s Particle Energy definitely can’t hold an advantage. Mine is stronger—overwhelmingly so.’

‘I can tell from Duoguyin’s reaction just how wary she is of my Burning Silence Particle Energy.’

‘Then is it the variety of my Witchcraft? The depth of my knowledge? My combat experience?’

Having been able to create Burning Silence Particle Energy at this stage, Wang Ya himself was certainly not inferior to any other Wizard.

This was something many Official Wizards had failed to achieve.

‘In that case… something that has never happened in the Dark Land… an event without precedent in the Land of Mountains and Seas… why can’t I be the first to do it?!’
