Chapter 212: Conquest Order: Salvation of Narius!

  • Next Chapter

[Congratulations!]

[Your team has successfully killed the Boss of the D-rank Conquest Type Dungeon, Chasm Gnoll King.]

[Title: Novice Conqueror has been upgraded to Beginner Conqueror.]

[All party members have gained experience points.]

[The mysterious mark, ChasmEcho, has been removed from everyone.]

[Since you have conquered the dungeon, you can now leave the D-rank dungeon once you collect your drops.]

—

Once the Gnoll King was caught off guard by Soren’s arrow and Evan’s sword, its defeat was set in stone.

In the first place, the main strength of the king was its trait, King’s Dominion and King’s Presence, that let it to control all the beasts within the chams.

Another was the barrier that let it relax on the altar while letting its enemy fight to death.

In the end, when both didn’t work, dying was the only solution left. Even though it used the last trait: Blood Frenzy, Evan and others cut it down without even Soren’s help.

Maybe that’s why, this time he didn’t get any additional title reward like Orc Slayer he got before.

‘Not like I am complaining.’

Soren thought and slowly climbed to the altar, his gaze focused on the massive rift.

Even now, the mysterious energy continued to spill out of that giant crack, unfettered by whatever was happening in the dungeon.

In fact, if not for Soren’s special gaze, he wouldn’t even notice that energy.

Of course, he still realized that peeking inside that rift was impossible even with the Helios’ Gaze.

‘But…how did that Gnoll manage to absorb this energy? Is it because of this altar?’

Just as Soren was confused, the ‘Voice of the World’ once again echoed, this time to him only, totally catching him off guard.

—

[It has been determined that you broke the barrier of the Forgotten Altar with your own skill.]

[Your level is only at 50.]

[Something that shouldn’t be possible normally had happened.]

—

*Swish!*

The moment the voice echoed in his ears, Soren felt the Rift rattle ever so slightly as the energy began to squirm, forming a small tornado.

“What is that?”

The change was so fast and direct that even Evan and the others saw it clearly outside the crack. They instinctively stepped back in surprise.

The strange energy that had been leaking out of the Rift no longer scattered into the air.

Instead, it began to gather at the edge of the crack, twisting inward as if something unseen was forcing it to condense.

At first, it looked like drifting mist. Then it began to thicken as the invisible turned visible, strands of luminous force weaving together, tightening like threads pulled into a single point.

The weak spill of mana turned violent.

It spiraled faster, compressing into itself until the swirling mass collapsed with a silent snap, forming a crystal.

A violet one.

Transparent at its core, yet stained with a deep violet hue that pulsed like a living heartbeat. It hovered for a fraction of a second before dropping cleanly through the air.

Finally, it landed on Soren’s hand, to the surprise of his teammates.

[Congratulations!]

[For your impossible deed, you have been given a reward: Forgotten Essence ×1]

[You have been given an invitation to visit the Forgotten World: Narius!]

[A Conquest Order: Salvation of Narius has been issued.]

[You are the first one to receive the Conquest Order for this world.]

[You may choose to refuse this mission or gather your team for Conquest. You have only one chance, and there is no time limit for entry.]

[Congratulations! Your title: Pathfinder has been evolved into Dimensional Navigator.]

‘This…’

The moment the prompt sounded, Soren was so shocked that he gaped, unlike his usual behavior.

‘Conquest Order… how can I…why is this…’

But how could he not be shocked when he had just received an invitation?

‘No… this doesn’t make sense. It is just a D-rank dungeon. How can it…’

Soren clenched his hand, gripping the Forgotten Essence tightly, a clear frown forming on his face, his eyes filled with confusion.

His heart rate, which had not changed even in the presence of the boss monster, began to rise rapidly on its own.

Something that should only be available in SS-rank dungeons and above appearing in a D-rank dungeon.

Of course, Soren was sweating bullets.

He wasn’t afraid or anything, though. After all, this wasn’t a bad thing.

Rather, it was something that could make the entire world go into a frenzy if anyone came to know about it.

As the name suggests, a Conquest Order was an invitation sent by a broken world or a dungeon to hunters of the main world.

Here, the main world was Gaia, and the hunters were they.

Basically, it was a plea from a dying world, a request for help from those strong enough to respond.

After all, those worlds were not only being assimilated into theirs but were also being eaten by the Abyss.

Although Soren did not know much, he knew that such orders were what every guild dreamed of. Because that meant something far more valuable than resources or rewards.

It meant access.

Access to a new world.

New laws. New mana systems. New resources beyond imagination. Even fragments of ancient civilizations that no longer existed in Gaia’s history.

And most importantly, it meant monopoly. Compared to the dungeon, its scale was quite large.

In the game Lover’s Labyrinth, the Paragon Guild was the first to receive this order after conquering an SS-rank dungeon, which ultimately led to the toppling of the power structure in the Country of Arden.

What followed was a chain of conflicts between nations, wars, and a new race to conquer the broken worlds.

The fragile peace that had held for a few years completely disappeared as hunters began to fight among themselves.

And with the unrest spreading, the invasion of the Abyss officially began. One thing led to another, creating various scenarios for Evan to play through, shaping the game’s progression.

Just…

‘World name Narius. I don’t think I have heard that before. It seems to be a small world.’

Soren could guess a few things from the clues he had as he finally calmed himself down for now.

“Soren… what happened?”

When he looked around at last, he saw his teammates staring at him and the crystal in his hand in confusion.

“Nothing much… it is just a reward for breaking that shield earlier.”

Soren did not explain it to them and instead gave an order.

“Let’s collect the loot and leave this dungeon now. It is not good to stay in this place any longer than necessary.”

Really, Soren wanted to leave this place and make a new plan urgently. It seemed he needed help from that Prophet earlier than he had planned.
