At night, Trevor brought Janelle back to his villa. Recently, he had been taking her home because he was truly not comfortable leaving her alone at her place.

He’s very gentlemanly, always arranging a guest room for her, and even getting up in the middle of the night to cover her with a blanket. Because he loves her, he takes great care of her.

Since the paternity test results came out, Trevor could feel her noticeably down mood. So he put off company matters and stayed by her side, always without saying much.

Entering the living room, Trevor picked out a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet, took two tall glasses, and led her upstairs to the rooftop terrace.

The gently cool evening breeze always has a way of blowing away worries at the heart’s edge.

The environment on the rooftop is pleasant, with rose vines entwining the railings and lights emitting a warm yellow, cozy glow.

Janelle settled into a wicker chair and looked up at the stars in the sky.

Trevor poured two glasses of red wine, placed one on the table before her, and then sat down opposite her. "Janelle, you do need to make a decision." He softly opened up the conversation for the night.

The girl snapped back to the present, slowly meeting his gaze, and heard him say, "Dr. Shelby is giving you time, but he surely needs an answer."

It’s time to confront this issue, and Janelle Mills feels complicated emotions.

She has to admit that during the past few hours, she has been avoiding it, not quite willing to face it, although she knows avoidance isn’t a solution.

"Honestly, my biggest concern right now is Sister Sterling and Old Mills. The psychological impact on them should be significant." From an emotional perspective, these two are more important to her.

In Janelle Mills’ memory, she has no impression of her biological parents. Suddenly appearing, beyond the shock, there’s not much personal emotion.

Trevor took a small sip of red wine, understanding her thoughts.

"But this situation is also a significant emotional impact on Dr. Shelby and his family. To them, you may be the only breakthrough. They’ve spent years painstakingly searching for you, through countless nights of sorrow, breakdowns, and helplessness. Their hearts might already be fraught with scars."

Janelle Mills felt her chest tighten slightly from his analysis, momentarily at a loss.

She is kind-hearted, not wishing for anyone to feel sad on her account.

Trevor got up and came in front of her, gently patting her shoulder in a comforting manner.

"When handling this situation, try not to be too stubborn. The gratitude of nurture is certainly unbreakable, and no one wants you to sever it, but blood ties are also an undeniable fact. To them, you have never disappeared from their memory."

Inside, Janelle Mills felt a trace of conflict and a bit of unease. The relationships suddenly becoming so complicated were something she wasn’t prepared for mentally.

On the same night, at Ian Shelby’s villa.

The father and son talked for nearly two hours, creating a particularly wonderful atmosphere, as if they were close friends, discussing both sides’ marriages.

Ian came to understand Catherine better... She’s someone with a sharp tongue but a soft heart, overall not a bad person.

Bertie wished that no matter what happens afterward, regardless of how long he lives, his son could always treat Catherine and Taylor kindly.

And Ian, on this night, also made a promise, saying he would definitely ensure the mother and son end well.

The night deepened gradually.

Ian took his father to the bedroom, waited for him to finish showering, watched him lie down to rest, and made sure he was covered up properly before leaving with peace of mind.

Although it was late, Ian couldn’t feel sleepy at all; the matter of finding his sister weighed heavily on his mind, like a thousand-pound stone.
