Chapter 1942: Abby’s Changing Impression of Anton Ford

  • Next Chapter

Actually, from that moment on, this girl became an integral part of his life. She gave him warmth he had never experienced before, and he loved her deeply, more than anything.

But having lacked parental companionship since childhood, Anton Ford grew up without love. No one taught him how to love, how to provide others with a sense of security, or how to cherish someone.

But whose youth is without scars?

Fortunately, fate smiled upon him, and he met Abby Sawyer again... So, no matter what, Anton Miller would not give up on her this time.

Thinking of her past car accident, how she lay unconscious in the hospital for a long time, he realized he hadn’t been by her side during her most difficult times.

Anton Ford felt a deep sense of regret.

In another departing car, Abby Sawyer was driving, with Tess Tate sitting in the passenger seat. Tess felt quite sorry and turned to look at the driving girl, "Abby, starting tomorrow, how about I give you a ride to and from work?"

"What’s the big deal?" Abby glanced at her while driving and smiled, "Don’t be so polite. I consider you my sister."

Hearing this, Tess felt a warmth in her heart.

She couldn’t help but recall the time when they first met in their senior year of high school, and Abby had said the same thing — what’s the big deal? I consider you my sister.

Looking at her, Tess thought, perhaps this is destiny.

People meant to be in each other’s lives will always find a way to reunite among the vast seas of people.

It was the case for her and Abby, and for Anton Ford and Abby too.

"I really didn’t expect Anton Miller to have such a righteous side," Abby started a conversation and couldn’t help but smile, "I always thought he was the type of playboy with no sense of responsibility, probably even late to acting shoots, leaving right after without caring about anything."

"Maybe it concerned his brother’s reputation," Tess surmised. "He might have just taken care of it casually."

Based on how Anton Ford cautiously accepted an interview by the car, Tess deduced she shouldn’t let Abby notice anything unusual.

"Exactly," Abby nodded, "But even if it was for his brother, he really helped me out, and I’m genuinely grateful to him."

Tess turned to observe Abby’s expression. Her beauty was still a mix of coldness and detachment. Abby was exceptionally strong and smart, and her beauty carried a hint of firmness.

Tess tried speaking, "But if you keep your gratitude to yourself, the other party will never know."

"What do you mean?" The girl turned to give her a glance.

"I think, if you see him tomorrow, it would be more appropriate to formally say thank you to him."

Tess added, "I believe he has considerable influence in front of the director. If you make friends with him, your position in the crew might be more secure in the future."

This reminded Abby of what Violet Sutton said that day, and she thought again about Angel...

So, it wasn’t a bad idea after all to make friends with Anton Miller; it might even help suppress Angel’s arrogance.

"Alright," Abby agreed, "I’ll see if there’s a suitable moment tomorrow."

At night.

Abby Sawyer finished her shower and was in her room, studying the script under the lamp, making notes with a highlighter, fully engrossed.

Not only did she memorize all the lines, but she also read through the entire story, thoroughly delving into the fate of each character. Abby Sawyer found herself growing increasingly fond of the character Telma.

She was even somewhat immersed in the story, unable to extricate herself. Telma was just a shadow, but her love for the male lead, Simon, was persistent, passionate, and inescapable.

Finally, after much hesitation, she managed to get the phone number of the original author, Jocelyn Morgan.

And then she dialed the number.
