Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife
Chapter 856 - 855: Deeply Moved
Chapter 856: Chapter 855: Deeply Moved
Seeing Vivian Norris, Damian Sinclair gave a distant nod, showing no extra reaction, and his expression did not seem like someone meeting an acquaintance.
Vivian Norris noticed that Damian probably never remembered who she was, and possibly had never even looked at her directly.
Ridiculously, she used to be jealous of Bella Acker for getting Damian’s attention and tried all sorts of ways to make things difficult for Bella.
Thinking about it now, there is nothing more ironic than this.
Vivian Norris masked her self-mockery and loss, saying, "Congratulations to you both."
"Mm." Damian finally responded this time, but still remained aloof.
Bella Acker said, "Let’s go, I’ll help you back to the ward."
Vivian Norris stopped talking, leaning on Bella Acker’s arm as she slowly walked back to the ward.
Bella Acker helped her sit on the hospital bed, her gaze unobtrusively swept around the ward, noticing that there wasn’t even a single flower or fruit at the bedside, and there weren’t even vases or fruit bowls around. One could basically conclude that during her hospital stay, no one had come to visit.
"How long have you been hospitalized?"
"Half a year," Vivian Norris rubbed her leg and said, "Due to drinking, but I don’t drink anymore now."
Seeing Vivian Norris like this, Bella Acker couldn’t tell if she should say it was self-inflicted.
The two fell into silence for a moment, Bella Acker opened her bag, took out a pen and paper, wrote her phone number down, and placed it on the bedside table, saying, "If you find yourself in trouble and can’t find anyone to help, you can call me. I have to go now."
With that said, without waiting for Vivian Norris to reply, Bella Acker left the ward, closing the door behind her.
Vivian Norris looked at the phone number on the bedside table, remained silent for a while, and suddenly fell onto the bed and began to sob.
She once thought she had everything, but in the end, it was all for nothing.
Outside the ward, as Bella Acker left, Damian was waiting with Talia in his arms. She walked quickly up to him and quietly asked, "You don’t remember her?"
Damian was startled, "I’ve met her before?"
Well, it seemed like Damian really never glanced at Vivian Norris before. Otherwise, with his almost photographic memory, even if he didn’t remember Vivian Norris’s name, he should remember such a person existed.
"Yes, you’ve met, in the ’Brocade River and Mountain’ crew." Bella Acker nodded.
Damian suddenly realized, "That was when you were breaking up with me, I went there just to get you and didn’t notice anyone else."
He hadn’t noticed Vivian Norris, but at that time, Vivian’s eyes were already fixed on him.
Bella Acker suddenly curved her lips into a smile, "If you don’t remember, then forget it, let’s go. It’s getting late, we can still make it back in time for dinner."
Seeing her smile, the cold indifference he had when facing Vivian Norris had vanished. His expression softened, and a slight smile appeared in his eyes, still holding the little girl in one arm and taking her hand with the other.
Bella Acker symbolically struggled a bit but didn’t forcefully try to pull her hand away, letting him hold her hand as they walked out of the hospital.
This man has really changed a lot now, but some things remain unchanged after all.
He still seldom displays expressions, giving off a distant and unapproachable vibe, but when it comes to her, his expression softens, and he indulges her.
I have to say, this feeling of him being cold to the world but warm only to her makes Bella Acker’s heart flutter.
