Chapter 880: Chapter 879: Stunning Audition

Mr. Lawson was somewhat surprised upon hearing Bella Acker wanted to audition for this part.

She initially thought Bella could take advantage of her connection with Director Ford to audition for a milder, less complex role that wouldn’t require much acting skill, but unexpectedly, she chose a particularly challenging part.

Understanding that boosting morale, if not interpreted well, would lack the robust swagger and instead appear trivial, failing to convey the grandeur and momentum of the scene.

Moreover, expressing such a role requires careful control of facial expressions and significant attention to eye expression.

A lot of times, an actor’s skill is judged by whether their eyes can express the scene.

Director Ford was also somewhat surprised when he heard Bella’s decision, though it seemed expected somehow.

"Alright, let’s try this scene. Bella, go over the script, familiarize yourself with the lines, and we’ll start when you’re ready," Director Ford nodded.

Mr. Lawson also smiled and said, "Go for it, Ms. Acker, I’m quite excited right now."

"I hope I don’t disappoint Mr. Ford and Mr. Lawson’s expectations," Bella smiled, reopened the script, found the audition segment, and started examining it closely.

This portion contains quite a few lines, all spirited and vibrant. Conveying their meaning effectively to energize the audience isn’t easy.

However, since so many people are vying for the lead female role in this play, Bella doesn’t want to make Director Ford feel troubled, so she plans to rely on her acting skills and compete on strength.

They were located in a corner, surrounded by bookshelves and decorative shelves, forming a private area where Bella wouldn’t be disturbed during the audition.

After a while, Bella put down the script and said, "Mr. Ford, Mr. Lawson, I’m ready."

"Alright, you may begin," Director Ford and Mr. Lawson both nodded.

Bella stood up, took a deep breath, and closed her eyes.

Cynthia Young and Judy Zimmerman moved aside, giving her a wider space.

Everyone watched her. After about five seconds, Bella suddenly opened her eyes.

Her dark eyes were bright and glossy like ink jade, often giving a pure and clear impression, with no hint of majesty.

But now, she opened her eyes suddenly, with restrained emotions and firm gaze, transforming from her usual innocent demeanor.

From this moment on, she truly seemed to become a female general capable of leading troops courageously and invincibly.

Just a single look, a change in expression, can determine whether someone has acting skill, and whether they can act.

Director Ford had long known Bella’s acting was filled with spiritual energy, and that she was diligent and loved to delve into her craft, never performing poorly.

Yet even now, facing Bella’s gaze, he was deeply impressed.

Her acting has improved to an unimaginable extent compared to before!

Mr. Lawson, who had been leaning back on the sofa cushion, subconsciously sat up straight, intently focused on Bella, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Despite the lack of a set and anyone to act alongside, she could so quickly immerse herself into the role. Moreover, having only read the script once, she accurately grasped the character’s traits.

This actress named Bella Acker is extraordinarily talented!
