What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?

Chapter 1450: What Does This Magic Circle Do?

I was eventually led to some kind of waiting room where I was made to sit and wait for someone who would apparently officiate my enrollment or something.

I was expecting Delmare and Odeta to be with me for this since they shouldn’t need to be tested as well to be enrolled into the school but it seems like as the Valedictorian, I would have a different enrollment process as compared to everyone else.

The guide left me here after handing me some tea and I was just sitting in the room by myself, looking around the place.

There wasn’t really anything special about the room... It was just a sitting room with two couches facing each other and a tea table in between. In the far corner of the room, there was a single carving of some ball being held up by some smoke carvings.

On the wall opposite the door was a very intricate looking crest with a book at the bottom and several circles containing the elements surrounding a magic staff that was floating above said book. A pair of wings that were white on one side and black on the other frames the crest and what looked like runes of a magic circle framed the elemental circles.

I realised that this should be the school’s crest and the sigils that I saw on the robes were a simplified, monochrome version of this.

I sipped on the tea idly, wondering what I was waiting for here.

A few minutes passed and I was still waiting and I wondered if this was also some kind of test or something.

Hmm... Maybe instead of a simple test of magic, they want to test my personality? Or... Maybe this was to confirm who I said I was? To confirm I didn’t cheat and actually had the capability to become the Valedictorian?

I went over to the door and tried the handle, half expecting it to be locked.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t.

I stuck my head out and looked around, finding the corridor completely empty before I went back into the room and closed the door.

I then looked around the room, wondering if this might be some kind of escape room puzzle.

I first checked the crest, examining the entire thing with a careful eye to see if there was a hidden mechanism to them.

The runes on the circle drew my attention as I inspected them closely, wondering if they meant anything.

I wasn’t really that proficient in reading runes but... I think I could at least infer a little about these runes using the limited knowledge I had.

I think... This circle... Is a summoning circle of some sort? At least... I think it is? Maybe I’m supposed to summon something here to pass the test?

But even if I figured that out, the circle is a little incomplete since the crest was covered by other decorations that were around the crest, which made it impossible for me to try and create the magic circle without knowing the rest of it.

My eyes then drifted to the carving of the orb in the corner of the room, the only other thing that was in the room.

I went over to inspect it, looking at it closely with a critical eye to see if there were any clues on it.

It took me a moment to realise that there were also runes that were carved on the surface of the orb as well and some of them were similar to the runes on the magic circle that was on the crest.

I quickly went ahead to write them down on a piece of paper and compared what I had written on the paper to the crest on the wall to figure out what was missing.

Hmm... Using this as a reference, I could easily piece together what was missing so I just need to fill in the blanks here... Here... And right here~

I poured my mana into the air and crafted the magic circle, believing that this should be the completion of the test.

As I watched, the magic circle appeared in the air rotating once before it suddenly expanded and lines joined the runes together to form an even more complicated circle.

I frowned as I realised even more of my mana was being sucked into the circle to feed it, which I surmised might be a test to see if I had enough mana or something.

I welcomed the challenge and poured my mana into the circle, making it spin even faster and expand even more.

The circle expanded until it was as big as the room and it still continued to siphon my mana.

I felt my mana reserves reaching its limit and I immediately took out the Mana Crystals I’ve been hoarding in my Bangle of Folding to start pouring mana from them into the circle as well. Not only that, I had my Shadow Guards also start pouring in their own magic reserves to me as well.

I ended up draining enough Mana Crystals which would have filled my mana up twice over before the magic circle finally stopped draining me.

Taking a step back, I watched as the magic circle pulsed brightly before it snapped out of existence.

Hmm... Does that mean I passed?

I looked up at the air where the magic circle disappeared to before I felt myself suddenly filling up with mana.

No... Not filling up with mana... But being engulfed in it...

I blinked and paused when I saw someone now floating in the air above the coffee table where I had left my tea.

I couldn’t really make out who they were since they were wrapped up in a storm of mana and their figure was completely obscured, looking like... Eh?

Not someone... But some ’thing’...

I turned back to look at the stone carving in the corner.

Yeah... Like that... An orb in the centre and being surrounded by a storm...

I turned back to look at the orb which seemed to hang in the air for a few seconds before, somehow, it turned its attention to me despite not having a face.

"You... Summoned me?"

I wasn’t really sure why this thing was confused so I just nodded my head, "Err... Yes?"

"You... Summoned me... By yourself?"

I looked around the empty room before turning back to the orb, "Was I not supposed to?"

"Supposed to? What... Did you summon me without knowing what you were doing?"

"Oh, err... Sorry? Was this not part of the test?"

"Test? What test?"

"I mean... I was left in here for some time and no one came along... So I thought this was some new test for students and I saw the crest on the wall with the runes and--"

"You... You’re a new student of Aerialla Academy?" The orb interrupted me.

I blinked, "Yes? So... It’s a test after all?"

There was a pause before the orb spoke again, "Who are yo-- No... Wait a minute... Why... Why do I sense divinity on you? Who are you?"

Divinity? Wait... Oh no...

"Umm... I’m sorry but... Are you one of the gods?"

"You really didn’t know what you were doing? Do you know who I am?"

"I... Really don’t... I just saw the runes on the school crest and the carving and made a magic circle out of them..."

Somehow, I could tell that the orb shifted its attention to the crest on the wall.

"You summoned me... After seeing that? Ah... I forgot I did leave something like that behind... No surprise that she ended up using it as part of the school crest I suppose..."

"Umm... I’m sorry but... I still don’t know who you are..."

The orb seemed to pulse at me with interest and it felt like it was going to speak before the door suddenly slammed open.

I turned to look at the door and realised it was that lady... Err... What was her name again? The one who was the director of student affairs?

Ah, that’s right! Cecilia!

The woman gaped up at the orb floating in the air before looking at me, then she looked back up at the orb again before she suddenly fell to her knees and pressed her head to the ground.

"Goddess Isre!! I am honoured to be in your presence!!"

Ah... Of course... I should have figured that out... She’s supposed to be the Goddess of Magic as well, isn’t she?

The goddess turned to Cecilia, "Leave us. Only return when I call for you."

Cecilia scrambled to her feet and bowed deeply before she ran out of the room, not forgetting to close the door behind her.

The orb then slowly descended and formed itself into a woman’s body, looking like an especially beautiful woman with stormy grey eyes while dressed in dark blue mage’s robes complete with a tall mage hat.

"Sit," She commanded. "I have a lot of questions to ask."

Right... I summoned a goddess... Somehow...
