Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 1138 - 7: Shooting Range

With a mindset similar to "going home for National Day and taking all the books to study hard," Chen Wen happily went downstairs.

He found Hua Yun there, who was also invited by Adam.

Seeing Chen Wen, Hua Yun couldn’t help but say, "Not studying anymore?"

"Hehe, studying while playing."

Chen Wen proudly showed his booklet.

But Hua Yun shook her head.

She didn’t quite believe Chen Wen would study while playing with firearms.

Chen Wen didn’t mind, as it was just psychological comfort.

"Anyway, playing is also good, relaxing and changing the mood."

Hua Yun said, "And when you’re holding an AK and going ’rat-a-tat,’ maybe reciting a few words in Arabic might be more effective."

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen laughed out loud and said, "You’re not quite right. It should be when you’re holding a backpack full of bombs and shouting a few Arabic words, preferably wearing white clothes, that’s when everyone avoids the one in white."

The two laughed and joked, and soon Adam and others arrived with a car.

Adam, in the co-driver’s seat, gestured for the two to get in. It was a spacious seven-seater.

Once in the car, Chen Wen found his teammates had gathered again.

Gaston cheerfully put his arm around Chen Wen, saying, "I told you studying was meaningless. See, you still came? Roland, buy me dinner tonight!"

Roland, beside them, shook his head helplessly, and then said to Chen Wen, "You, who usually loves studying so much, made me completely lose this time."

Seeing Chen Wen’s confusion, Fred laughed and explained, "The two of them made a bet on whether you’d come or not, and bet on tonight’s dinner."

Upon hearing that, Chen Wen laughed and said, "Looks like Roland believed in me, that’s fine, but this time I disappointed you. But if it’s about learning survival skills, you can completely trust me."

With that, Chen Wen couldn’t help but take out his booklet, showing everyone the Arabic text: "Tell me, who can understand these words? They’re all crooked lines."

But while Chen Wen was complaining, Gaston beside him read out the sentence from the booklet: "marhaban, which means hello; this is the most basic Arabic booklet, and it’s a bit off-standard. Where did you get it?"

As Gaston spoke, Chen Wen looked at him with a surprised expression: "Good lord, you can understand?"

Others were also surprised, looking at Gaston, while Roland’s eyes seemed to say, in this group of rough guys, there’s actually an intellectual?

Gaston sighed and said, "You guys didn’t know I’m a college student? I began to get involved in survival during college, and what I studied in college was Arabic. If I hadn’t gotten into survival, I might have been an Arabic translator now, or maybe a diplomat."

This statement prompted everyone to disdainfully glance at Gaston.

You?

A diplomat?

Gaston grinned, wanting to hold Chen Wen down and show him.

But Chen Wen countered and pressed Gaston down like a little chick on his lap: "You rascal, seems like you’re an intellectual! Perfect, sitting idly in the car is boring, tell me how to learn this stuff!"

Gaston struggled a bit but couldn’t break free.

He sighed and said, "Alright, I’ll teach you. Actually, you don’t need to learn it academically. If you just want to communicate with the locals over there, knowing how to speak and understand is enough. If you’re free these days, you can join me, and I’ll communicate with you in Arabic. With a language environment, you’ll learn faster."

Hearing that, Chen Wen immediately lifted Gaston up, grinning: "I knew it, my good brother Gaston will definitely help me!"

Gaston chuckled: "I can help you, but call me teacher."

Chen Wen countered and pressed Gaston down again, lightly tapping his back twice.

That settled him.

Once the car was started, Gaston couldn’t help but sigh: "Sigh, as you say in Hua Country, this is losing faith in people, the world is declining, it’s dishonoring the teacher and disrespecting the ancestor!"

Beside them, Roland laughed and said, "Come on, at most it’s sparring. Just let Chen Wen take you along when you plan to participate in survival later."

That made sense, and Gaston immediately put his arm around Chen Wen with peace of mind: "Brother, my next challenge depends on when you participate in a cooperative challenge."

Chen Wen nodded, "Okay, I won’t speak for others, but as for the people in our car, as long as it’s a cooperative survival challenge, the six of us can definitely ally."

Everyone nodded upon hearing this.

They chatted away, and soon the car arrived at a forest outside the city.

Here was similar to the Taiga Forest they had survived in, covered in white snow and lots of trees.

But the only extra feature was a relatively large building.

Fred seemed quite familiar with the place, saying, "This is a fairly big shooting range, with weapons from all over the world visible here. Let’s get cards first; once that’s done and we’ve paid, a coach will lead us in shooting."

"The charges here aren’t too expensive, you can enjoy yourself for only a few thousand US Dollars, though if you want to experience those heavy weapons, it’ll be more."

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen couldn’t help but ask, "Heavy weapons? What kind of heavy weapons?"

"Rocket launchers, heavy machine guns."

Fred said with a smile, "But they’re the older models of heavy weapons, generally not something people play with."

Chen Wen couldn’t help but click his tongue; this place actually lets you play with rocket launchers, it’s quite something!

Soon, as everyone got out of the car, the shooting range staff recognized Fred and warmly welcomed him.

The staff member cheerfully asked, "Mr. Fred, long time no see, are you here with friends to play this time?"

"Yes, but they’re opening their own cards."

Fred replied.

His economic situation is average, he can manage on his own, but inviting Chen Wen and the others would be a bit too much.

Of course, Chen Wen and the others wouldn’t let Fred pay.

With the staff leading them, Chen Wen opened a card and charged it with three thousand US Dollars.

The money isn’t much to him, and relatively speaking, it’s like him getting a membership card at an internet cafe in his past life; the staff, however, seemed a bit surprised.

Typically, first-time visitors barely charge one-time money, like a few hundred US Dollars, but this one starts with three thousand, quite the rich guy!

Thinking this, the staff unconsciously treated Chen Wen even more warmly.

After charging the card, the staff brought them to a room stocked with equipment, including auxiliary shooting gear like goggles and wrist guards.

Following Fred’s guidance, Chen Wen neatly wore the gear, waiting for the coach to arrive.

"Do we each get a coach later, or go play together?"

Fred asked.

Hua Yun said, "Play on your own first, or along with someone. After playing for a while, we’ll compete together?"

This proposal gained everyone’s approval.

Once the coach arrived, everyone split into pairs or went alone to play.

Chen Wen and Gaston moved together, with Gaston already starting to teach Chen Wen Arabic.

Following a coach, they arrived at a relatively spacious shooting field.
