Chapter 122: Chapter 122 The Formation Of The Alliance

"Even the heavens have become difficult to read."

Tianji Xuankong’s words left the fifteen leaders exchanging thoughtful glances.

As the Ancestor of the Divination Pavilion, he had spent countless years studying the mysteries of the heavens. If even he could no longer obtain clear answers through divination, the approaching Calamity was far more complicated than they had anticipated.

Shi Wuheng broke the silence.

"Senior Tianji, how much have you managed to discover about this Calamity?"

The other leaders turned toward the old Ancestor, waiting for his answer.

Tianji Xuankong sighed.

"I have been divining the heavens for some time, attempting to uncover what awaits this world. Unfortunately, the deeper I investigate, the more difficult it becomes to obtain a clear answer."

He paused before continuing.

"During my most recent attempt, I came closer than ever to discovering the truth. I could almost see what lay beyond the obstruction, but before I could obtain the answer, the divination collapsed."

His expression darkened slightly.

"The backlash nearly shattered my spiritual sense. My meridians suffered severe damage, and I was thrown from my meditation platform. I spent several days stabilizing my cultivation, yet I have still not fully recovered."

The fifteen leaders looked at him with surprise.

Tianji Xuankong was a Peak Mahayana Realm expert. His mastery of divination was renowned throughout the world, and his experience far exceeded that of ordinary cultivators.

For him to suffer such injuries while investigating the future demonstrated how dangerous his latest attempt had been.

Mo Xuehan frowned.

"Did you discover anything before the backlash struck?"

"Yes."

Tianji Xuankong’s answer immediately caught everyone’s attention.

He looked around the hall before speaking again.

"The demons are coming."

The atmosphere changed.

"They are coming soon," he continued. "I cannot determine the exact time of their arrival, but my divination left me with no doubt about their intentions."

He paused briefly.

"Just before the backlash struck, I sensed something beyond the obstruction. I cannot tell you what it was, nor can I explain why it resisted my divination so fiercely. I only know that the danger approaching this world is real."

The fifteen leaders exchanged serious looks.

Although they had already received the warning from the Ancient Voice in the Primordial Sealing Ruin, hearing the same conclusion from Tianji Xuankong carried considerable weight.

The Divination Pavilion’s Ancestor had risked his own cultivation attempting to uncover the truth. His findings could not be dismissed lightly.

Tianji Xuankong continued.

"If the demons are approaching as quickly as my divination suggests, then this world must prepare itself. We cannot wait until they arrive before deciding what to do."

His gaze swept across the fifteen leaders.

"By then, it may already be too late."

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Then Qin Taixuan leaned forward.

"Senior Tianji is right. If the demons are coming soon, we cannot afford to let every force prepare independently. Whatever strength we possess, it will be wasted if we cannot coordinate our efforts."

He looked toward the others.

"I propose that we establish an alliance and gather the strongest forces in the world. When the demons arrive, we must be ready to face them together."

Shi Wuheng nodded.

"I agree. The seven Forbidden Families and eight Forbidden Sects may possess considerable strength, but we cannot assume that our forces alone will be sufficient."

"Nor should we limit the alliance to ourselves," Jian Cangming added. "The Holy Families and Holy Sects must also be approached. There are powerful rogue cultivators throughout the world whose strength could prove invaluable."

Feng Jiutian considered the proposal.

"Then we should send invitations to the major forces and the strongest rogue cultivators. Once they understand the situation, they can decide whether to participate."

"Invitations?" Huangfu Tianjun shook his head. "That makes it sound as though this is an ordinary gathering they can attend or ignore as they please."

He looked around the hall.

"We are talking about the survival of our world. If the demons invade, their arrival will not affect only the Forbidden Forces. Every clan, every sect, and every cultivator will face the consequences."

His voice became firmer.

"This is our world. We must do everything within our power to protect it. Anyone with sufficient strength to contribute to its defense should understand the responsibility that comes with that strength."

Beiming Cang nodded in agreement.

"We should approach them, explain the situation, and make the importance of joining the alliance clear. Those capable of helping us defend the world should not stand aside without good reason."

"Agreed," Mo Xuehan said. "We need every capable cultivator we can gather."

The discussion quickly moved toward practical arrangements.

The fifteen leaders agreed that their initial efforts should focus on influential clans and sects, along with powerful rogue cultivators who had reached the higher cultivation realms.

They would need to explain Tianji Xuankong’s findings and the warning delivered by the Ancient Voice. Whether the approaching demons arrived in a few months or sooner, the world could not afford to waste time.

Sikong Mingyuan folded his arms.

"We should divide the work among ourselves. Each of us can approach the forces within our respective spheres of influence, while ensuring that no major power is overlooked."

"That would be the most efficient approach," Xiahou Zhen agreed.

"Then we should begin as soon as possible," Ji Wutian said. "The sooner we gather the world’s strength, the more time we will have to prepare."

The others accepted the arrangement.

However, before they could divide the responsibilities, Luo Wujin brought up another matter.

"What about the Lin Clan?"

Several leaders turned toward him.

Luo Wujin continued.

"Their strength remains difficult to assess. Considering what they demonstrated at the Ten Thousand Realms Auction, I doubt their visible resources tell the whole story."

Nobody disputed that observation.

The Lin Clan had already attracted considerable attention through its extraordinary resources and the reputation it had established among powerful forces. Yet its true foundations remained a mystery.

Gu Xinghe stroked his beard thoughtfully.

"Regardless of how strong the Lin Clan actually is, a force capable of obtaining such resources deserves to be approached personally. We should not send an ordinary representative to deliver such an important message."

"I will go myself," Shi Wuheng declared.

He had no intention of leaving such a matter to a subordinate.

"The Lin Clan’s strength is difficult to fathom, and we cannot afford to underestimate them. I will personally explain the situation and invite them to join the alliance."

The other leaders accepted his decision.

With the Lin Clan added to the list of forces they intended to approach, the discussion returned to the alliance’s structure.

"We also need an Alliance Master," Xu Kongming remarked. "Someone must coordinate the participating forces and make decisions when disagreements arise."

"That can be decided later," Yan Beiming replied. "We haven’t even established the alliance yet. Most of its potential members have not been contacted, and we don’t know how many forces will participate."

He looked around the hall.

"First, we gather the members and establish the alliance. Once the participating forces have assembled, we can discuss the Alliance Master’s appointment and the responsibilities that position will carry."

Qin Taixuan nodded.

"That is reasonable. Choosing a leader before we know who will join us would accomplish little."

No one objected.

For now, they had more urgent matters to attend to than deciding who would lead the alliance.

Once the meeting concluded, the fifteen leaders would return to their respective forces and begin contacting potential members. Their first priority was to gather strength, not compete for authority.

With the main arrangements settled, Shi Wuheng turned toward Tianji Xuankong.

"Senior Tianji, the Divination Pavilion is also one of the strongest forces in the world. Will you join the alliance?"

Tianji Xuankong answered without hesitation.

"Why wouldn’t we?"

He looked at the assembled leaders.

"The demons threaten the entire world, and the Divination Pavilion is no exception. We have spent generations studying the heavens and preserving the knowledge of our predecessors. If that knowledge and our strength can help protect this world, then we have a responsibility to contribute."

He turned toward Ye Xuansheng.

"Xuansheng, gather the Pavilion’s Mahayana Realm and Tribulation Transcendence Realm cultivators. They will participate in the alliance alongside the other forces."

"Understood, Ancestor."

Ye Xuansheng immediately accepted the order.

He knew that assembling the Pavilion’s strongest cultivators would require careful arrangements, but the importance of the matter left little room for hesitation.

Tianji Xuankong then addressed the fifteen leaders once more.

"I cannot promise that my divinations will reveal everything we need to know. However, I will continue investigating the Calamity and share any useful discoveries with the alliance."

Shi Wuheng cupped his fists.

"Then we shall rely on one another. Whatever awaits us, we will face it together."

The other leaders nodded.

Their next steps were clear. Each would return to their respective force, arrange the recruitment of powerful clans, sects, and rogue cultivators, and begin preparing for the approaching threat.

The alliance had not yet been formally established, and its future leader remained undecided.

Nevertheless, the decision that mattered most had been made.

The world’s strongest forces would no longer prepare in isolation.

The demons were coming, and this time, the entire world would have to stand together.
