After coming out of the hidden basement, they sealed it off once more.
Since they weren’t going to take anything with them right now, it wasn’t as if it was a good idea to leave it open like this.
After all, there was no telling who would wander in.
Even if this forest was sealed off in the first place, there really was no telling what kind of things could happen.
"Let’s head to the next spot."
With everything taken care of and everyone rested, the only thing that was left was to continue on.
There were still other parts of this Dao Sect ruins that had to be explored after all.
But as they progressed, both Ye Qing Huan and Lin Fan felt that there was something strange about Xiao Mu. After all, Xiao Mu didn’t say anything about the place they were going to this time.
It seemed like this was something that was more personal to Xiao Mu rather than something that was beneficial to them.
It was a spot that was marked on the map, but it had a strange symbol that Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan couldn’t understand. So they had been hoping that Xiao Mu would give them an idea of what this place was, but Xiao Mu kept silent the entire time.
The way that Xiao Mu acted, it almost felt like there was something that it was hiding from them.
But since Xiao Mu wasn’t willing to speak, it wasn’t as if they could get any information from Xiao Mu.
The only thing that they could do was wait and see where Xiao Mu was leading them.
All of a sudden, Xiao Mu came to a stop and reached its hand out towards Lin Fan.
Lin Fan didn’t need Xiao Mu to say anything to know what it wanted, so he just handed it over without a word.
Only when the mist cleared this time, they couldn’t help feeling something run past them.
It was a strange feeling, it was as if there was some kind of chill that came over them.
It was as if there was something that had just rushed past them when this passage into the mist opened up.
But as far as they could see, it didn’t seem like there was something there.
Ye Qing Huan was the one that seemed to react the most to this chill that just ran through them. There was this serious look on her face as she looked forward, as if she was trying to figure something out.
"What’s wrong?" Lin Fan asked when he saw this, but Ye Qing Huan didn’t say anything.
Since Ye Qing Huan wasn’t saying anything, Lin Fan changed his target to Xiao Mu as he asked, "Where is this place?"
"The dorms."
Lin Fan was surprised that Xiao Mu answered this easily, but it didn’t take much to figure out why Xiao Mu suddenly chose to cooperate. It was that Xiao Mu knew that Ye Qing Huan could already see through what was special about this place.
So that was why he changed his question, "Why this place?"
"It was the right thing to do."
Lin Fan was a bit confused why Xiao Mu said this, but he heard Ye Qing Huan suddenly give a sigh.
Seeing this, he figured that she already had an idea of what Xiao Mu wanted to do.
Since that was the case, it wasn’t as if he had to do anything.
Even if he had been the one that had taken care of most things after they came to these Dao Sect ruins, it didn’t mean that he was the only one that could take care of things.
If Ye Qing Huan was confident enough to deal with this, there was no reason for him to take the lead.
Ye Qing Huan didn’t move at first as she continued to stare at the passage in front of her.
But eventually she moved forward while raising her hand.
The way that she moved, it was as if she was gathering her power for something.

When Lin Fan saw them, he already knew that they were the ones that had caused the chill to run past them. After all, they were similar to the wraiths that Ye Qing Huan had summoned before.
Only these were the ghosts of the disciples from the Dao Sect.
The clothes that they wore made it clear that they were disciples of the Dao Sect.
"They must be the disciples that had died in the Dao Sect’s disaster all those years ago."
Since they had been caught up and died because of the Dao Sect’s disaster, it was only normal that they would feel resentful. Not to mention with how long they had been here, it was only normal that they would start turning into vengeful spirits like this.
Only it seemed like they were afraid to come forward as they all remained in place.
It was as if there was something that was restraining them.
Seeing this, Lin Fan turned back to look at Ye Qing Huan.
It didn’t seem like she was doing anything, but he could tell from the look on her face and the way that she looked at the ghosts that she was the one that was restraining them.
He had already seen her ability to control the wraiths, so it was only natural that she would have some kind of technique that would give her control over these ghosts.
Though he was surprised by how powerful her techniques were that allowed her to control all of these ghosts. It really didn’t seem like there was a single ghost that was able to escape her control.
Once all of the ghosts were restrained like this, Ye Qing Huan went forward to stand in front of them before suddenly asking, "What is your regret?"
It didn’t seem like there was a response that came from the ghosts with how they looked like they were ignoring her. But it also seemed like Ye Qing Huan was hearing things from the ghosts with how she nodded.
It was as if she was agreeing to the things that the ghosts were saying.
When she was done, she suddenly shook her head and said, "That’s not something that I can do for you."
There was a stronger chill that came from the ghosts after she said this, but it didn’t seem like there was anything else that they were able to do. It seemed like this was the only way that they could show that they were displeased with this.
However, Ye Qing Huan slowly said, "You have to come to terms with your current situation. If you don’t, you’ll never be able to move on."
That chill that was coming from the ghosts stopped when she said this.
In fact, it seemed like the figures of the ghosts blurred because of what she said. It was almost as if they were completely caught off guard and didn’t know how to respond.
Ye Qing Huan didn’t mind this as she moved forward without any fear.
Even though she was surrounded by the ghosts like this, none of them actually did anything to her. They didn’t even act as if they saw her moving as they were still lost in thought.
It was as if they were still trying to process what she had just said to them.
Lin Fan shook his head with a faint smile, but he still followed behind Ye Qing Huan.
He didn’t have any fear since he trusted Ye Qing Huan to know what she was doing.
Once he entered the space, he felt the cold that was all around him.
It seemed like this entire space was filled with this chill that went straight to one’s core.
However, Lin Fan knew exactly what this chill was.
"The yin qi has been building up in this place all these years with all these ghosts present."
Though he could feel this, Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling confused since he had no idea what they were supposed to do here.
In all of the different places that they had visited so far in these Dao Sect ruins, there had always been some kind of trial for them. These trials would give clear indication on what they had to do to inherit those places.
But in this place, there was no such indication.
As if she could see what Lin Fan was thinking, Ye Qing Huan said, "There’s a flow to this yin qi. If we follow it, there should be something at the end."
Lin Fan didn’t doubt that Ye Qing Huan would be able to sense this kind of thing, but he did show a look of doubt as to whether there would be anything at the end of this trail.
It really didn’t seem like there would be anything that was waiting for them in this place.
At the same time, he really couldn’t understand what kind of reward was waiting for them here. It really didn’t seem like the dorm of the disciples would have anything substantial in it.
Still, there had to be a reason that this place was marked on the map, right?
