In a way, it felt like Lin Fan was pushing his luck when he asked this.

It was just that he had no fear as he looked down at the dagger in the hole and asked this question.

There was a silence that lingered in the air as there was no response that came from the dagger.

But in the end, it didn’t seem like the dagger was able to keep it in as it suddenly said, "I can give you whatever you want and more."

Hearing Xiao Mu say this, Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head with a faint smile.

Though he had already guessed that this was the case, it was different when he heard this coming from the dagger itself. He had already guessed that the items that were in this place were desperate at this point.

With how long they had been locked in this place, there was no doubt that they had already long lost their patience and wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

Otherwise, why would they have flooded their own cage with the dense energy.

Even if it was energy that came from them, it wasn’t as if these dangerous items weren’t affected by the dense energy that filled the holes at all. It was only natural that they would feel the pressure of this dense energy filling the space that they lived in.

It was only because of their desperation that they did this.

"We both know that’s a lie, so there’s no need to say something like that. Be more honest about what you can give and we’ll see what we can do." Lin Fan said without any fear at all.

The dense energy that was in the hole seemed to shake when Lin Fan said this.

In the first place, the dagger was already holding itself back by negotiating with Lin Fan. The fact that he was pushing it now only served to make the spirit inside of the dagger even more angry.

Even so, it wasn’t as if there was anything that the spirit of the dagger could do since it was still trapped inside of the hole. If it wanted to do something to Lin Fan, it had to wait until it was released from the hole.

After another long silence, there was something that came out of the dagger.

It didn’t seem like much since it was just a small ball that was floating there.

But even with the restriction array in place, they could sense the aura that was coming from that small ball. That aura was something that put pressure on them just by existing, highlighting how powerful this small ball was.

Still that aura disappeared in the end since the dagger wasn’t trying to harm them.

The only reason that the dagger had allowed that small ball to release that aura was to show them just how powerful this small ball was. It was to let Lin Fan understand what it was offering them just like he asked for.

Only it didn’t seem like Lin Fan was moved.

"Is that all that you have?"

If the dagger was human, it definitely would have spat out blood in anger because of what Lin Fan said. Since it wasn’t human, the only thing that it could do was move the dense energy that was inside of the hole as if it was perturbed.

However, it didn’t seem like the dagger was planning on doing anything else with the way that it remained still.

Or rather, it was almost as if the dagger was saying, "Can you prove that you can even do anything?"

Lin Fan wasn’t bothered by the way that the dagger was acting.

Instead, he took his token and placed it against the restrictive array that was blocking the hole.

The moment that he did, the dense energy seemed to react once more.

Only this time, it seemed like there was some kind of excitement that was in its movement.

It was more than enough to see that the dagger was moved by whatever Lin Fan had done.

Other than this, the dagger even pushed the small ball forward almost as if it was offering it as a free gift. It seemed like the dagger was using this as a sort of bribe to make negotiating with Lin Fan easier.

That was all because Lin Fan had demonstrated that he was indeed capable of controlling the restriction array that was binding it.

Just now, Lin Fan had used the token to open a very tiny hole in the restriction array. It wasn’t big enough for the dagger to make any moves, but it was big enough that it gave the dagger a small trace of freedom.

For the dagger that had been starved of this for so long, it couldn’t help itself even though it was a small taste of freedom. After being trapped for so long, there weren’t many things that it wanted, but this was at the top of its list.

However, seeing that Lin Fan wasn’t moved by the small ball that it was offering, the dagger had no choice but to figure something else out.

In the end, there were a bunch of other things that appeared around the dagger.

Even though it was an artifact, it actually contained all of these other things.

Once it took all of these things out, they floated to the restriction array as if they were being offered to Lin Fan. It seemed like the dagger was going all out to try and convince him to let it out.

Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he reached forward and took out all of the things that the dagger offered. However, he did make sure not to release the restriction array yet.

The dagger clearly wasn’t happy about this with the way that the dense energy moved, but it really didn’t have a choice but to accept this.

In the end, Lin Fan was able to pull out all of the things that the dagger offered and he showed them to Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu. Both of them seemed interested in these things since the aura that they gave off wasn’t any weaker than the small ball that was released earlier.

It really was quite amazing that the dagger had all of these things stored inside of it.

Once they were done, Lin Fan turned around and said, "It seems like it’s my turn to fulfill my side of the deal."

The dense energy inside of the hole moved once more and it was filled with excitement.

The dagger looked like it was trying to keep cool, but it really was hard for the dagger to do this since it had been trapped for a long time. This was the one thing that it had wanted all this time and it was finally here.

But when Lin Fan pressed the token against the restriction array, what the dagger wanted didn’t come.

The dense energy was moving, but it was also slowly disappearing.

The dense energy that remained did move around as if it was angry that it had been betrayed, but there was nothing that it could do about this situation.

Once the restrictive array was activated, the only thing that it could do was allow itself to be suppressed by the restrictive array. So the dense energy kept fading bit by bit until it disappeared without a trace.

Once the dense energy disappeared without a trace, the dagger was once again sealed with no chance to break free.

The dagger that was inside of the hole shook with anger, but that was the only thing that it could do. It didn’t matter how much it shook when it couldn’t do anything to break out of the restrictive array.

If it was able to talk, it certainly would have cursed out Lin Fan for tricking it like this.

Though in the first place, the dagger could only blame itself for how easy it had made things. It had been too desperate for freedom which allowed Lin Fan to fool it like this.

After it was over, Lin Fan said, "Alright, that’s one down. Let’s go and see if we can get anything else from the other things sealed here."

Wry smiles appeared on both Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu’s faces when they heard this.

A part of Lin Fan had already been expecting this reaction from them, so he calmly said, "If they were able to do so, they would have broken free and caused chaos long ago. All we’re doing is fixing the problem."

Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu couldn’t help shaking their heads with bitter smiles when they heard this, but they didn’t argue with Lin Fan since they knew that he was right.

The Dao Sect wouldn’t have sealed these things here if they were anything good.

Not to mention that from the items that the dagger had given them, they could feel the murderous intent coming from them. These were items that didn’t belong to good people, not that they couldn’t be used for good.

It was just that no one that owned these items ever attempted to use these for good.

So in the end, Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu agreed to go along with what Lin Fan was doing. Since they were already here, they would get as much as they could out of this place.

Not to mention that they had to do this if they wanted to receive the authority of this place.

It wasn’t as if they particularly wanted to do this either.
