With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1592: What can you offer? (3)

What happened with the first sealed item didn’t affect what came next.

Unless they were directly over the hole, it didn’t seem like the other sealed items were able to hear anything.

So it didn’t matter what Lin Fan did, he was able to keep fooling the items in the holes.

There were others that gave up their treasures like the dagger did and in return, they were sealed just like the dagger.

However, there were also those that didn’t seem like they were fooled by Lin Fan’s words. So in the end, they didn’t give up anything before they were sealed away.

Regardless of whether they gave up something or not, they were all sealed away by Lin Fan.

After all, it wasn’t as if he could allow these sealed items to break through the seal.

In the end, he had to reseal them before they were released into the world.

There was a reason that the Dao Sect had put in all this effort to seal off these items in the first place, so there was no possibility of these things being released in the end.

The problem was that Lin Fan had underestimated just how many items were here.

Since he was extorting them, it wasn’t as if he could mass extort them. It was one thing to extort someone that was isolated, but once they gathered together and started thinking things through, it wasn’t as if it would be that easy to pressure them.

Which was why he had to do this one by one.

Lin Fan already had an idea of how wide this area was through his connection with the pillar, but it wasn’t as if he knew just how holes there were here.

In the end, he had no choice but to stop extorting the items since it would just take too long for him to keep going like this.

If he was going to keep extorting them, then he should try to find something that was on a higher level.

It wasn’t as if these sealed items were weak, but they weren’t the most powerful things here either.

At most, they were only at the Rebirth Realm. Though they were considered at the peak of the Rebirth Realm, which was why the things that they offered were enough to pressure even Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu who both had Rebirth Realm strength.

But even so, the Dao Sect was a sect that surpassed all other sects in their era.

Rebirth Realm was definitely not the limit for them when it came to items that they could seal.

At the very core of this place, there was no doubt that there would be Transcendence Realm items.

Even if he couldn’t take the items themselves away, it wasn’t as if the things that they offered would be that weak. These were things that certainly qualified as trump cards when the time came, even if they could only be used once.

So in the end, Lin Fan returned to the pillar and placed the token on it.

As soon as the token was placed on, there was a light that came from the pillar itself as if it was responding to him.

Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu didn’t know exactly what he was doing, but they could guess what was happening. In fact, it would have only taken a single look at one of the nearby holes to figure it out.

The dense energy that filled those nearby holes were disappearing as the restriction array was clearing it out. The restriction arrays were activating and sealing off the items that were inside the holes once more.

From the beginning, Lin Fan could have sealed everything right away using the pillar. This pillar was one that controlled all of the restriction arrays in this certain area that it was responsible for.

The only reason that he didn’t do it sooner was so he could extort all the surrounding items. But now that he was planning on moving on, it wasn’t as if he could just leave these restriction arrays as they were.

Lin Fan didn’t come out of the hole once he finished sealing off those restriction arrays. Instead, he remained in the hole with one hand on the pillar just like before.

One might think that he was still focused on sealing off the restriction arrays, but he was doing something else completely.

All of a sudden, he turned to look in several different directions. When he was done, he couldn’t help letting a sigh escape from his lips.

Ye Qing Huan couldn’t help asking when he came out of the hole, "What’s wrong?"

Lin Fan didn’t answer at first, but then he shook his head with another sigh before saying, "It seems like we’ll have to go on a wild goose chase."

Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu were both confused when they heard this. They had no idea what he meant by this, but it didn’t matter since they were still planning on following him.

Though it wasn’t as if Lin Fan moved right away.

Instead, he looked around in the same direction that he looked in before. The look on his face was almost as if he was agonizing over some kind of decision.

But in the end, he still made his choice and headed off in one of those directions.

As he did, he muttered to himself, "I can only give it a try."

After walking in this direction for a bit, Lin Fan suddenly came to a stop and looked around the area. It didn’t seem like he knew what he was looking for, the only thing that he was looking at was the ground where the holes were.

Eventually, he was able to find what he was looking for.

Without any hesitation, Lin Fan jumped down into the hole in front of him and then placed the token in his hand on the pillar that was there.

This was a pillar that was just like the one that he had used earlier, it was a pillar that was used to control the restriction arrays in the surrounding area. It was just that there was a trace of disappointment on his face when he saw this pillar.

Lin Fan didn’t even bother extorting any of the sealed items that were nearby since he knew that they weren’t at the level that he wanted them to be at. He knew that this was an area that was on the same level as the one that he was in previously.

So the only thing that he could do was use this pillar to find the next location.

What the pillar showed was the general direction of the next pillar, which was what he was using to find the next pillar.

At the same time, it only showed him the ones that were connected to the area that he was currently in. It didn’t tell him anything about what kind of items were sealed in the next area that the pillars were located in.

All of this meant that he had to guess and hope that he was lucky enough to find something worth extorting.

"Guess it was a miss this time." Lin Fan muttered his breath as he concentrated on the pillar in front of him, trying to find the next pillars to search for.

With the mental map in his head, he at least knew which one of these pillars that he could sense was the one that he had come from.

It was just that he had no idea which way was considered going deeper into this place.

What he wanted to do was to find the core of this area, but it really was hard to do so when he didn’t have any information at all.

So instead of making a decision this time, Lin Fan pointed out the different directions and asked Xiao Mu, "Which way do you think we should go?"

Xiao Mu didn’t say anything as it looked in the directions that Lin Fan pointed out.

Lin Fan really hadn’t expected anything from Xiao Mu since he was just asking because Xiao Mu was linked to the Dao Sect’s database. He was hoping that there would be some kind of unconscious clue that would give him a way to go.

Only when Xiao Mu pointed out the direction that they should go in, a wry smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face. That was because the direction that Xiao Mu had pointed out was right behind them. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Xiao Mu didn’t seem to care about the directions that Lin Fan pointed out for it, it only wanted to go back to the same pillar that it had gone to previously.

"Is there a reason for this?"

"It feels like we missed something." Xiao Mu said without explaining anything at all.

So in the end, Lin Fan followed Xiao Mu’s words and went in that direction.

Once they arrived at the previous pillar, Lin Fan pointed out more directions for Xiao Mu.

It wasn’t as if Xiao Mu had been messing with Lin Fan.

This time, Xiao Mu pointed in the opposite direction that they had gone in.

The way that Xiao Mu did this was as if it was saying that Lin Fan had chosen wrong in the first place.

Lin Fan’s face couldn’t help twitching when he saw this, but it wasn’t as if he couldn’t admit that he was wrong. It was just that he wanted to see exactly where Xiao Mu was leading them first before he admitted that he was wrong.
