When he finally made it back to the main pillar, Lin Fan found that he finally had control over the restriction arrays around him.

It was just that it didn’t seem like he had full control either.

He was able to control most of the functions of the restriction arrays, it was just that there was something that seemed to be missing. It was almost as if there was this small part that wasn’t under his control.

Lin Fan wasn’t able to figure out what it was at first, but eventually he was able to determine what was the one thing that he wasn’t able to control.

"I can’t completely open the restriction arrays."

It was different from the other locations where he was able to open them temporarily. With these restriction arrays that held the Transcendence Realm items, it seemed like he wasn’t able to do a single thing.

It seemed like the one that had created these restriction arrays and pillars took this one part of the array seriously.

Though it couldn’t be blamed on them for this since these were Transcendence Realm items. These were completely different from the rest of the items that were sealed in this place.

If any of these items were released into the current cultivation world, there was no doubt that it would cause a storm of blood. So in the end, it wasn’t something that they could take the risk of someone releasing.

However, without the ability to actually open the barrier even a little to show them that he had this ability...

"I’ll just have to make it work." That was the only thing that Lin Fan could decide on in the end.

Even if it didn’t seem like it would be likely, it was something that he had to do.

After learning this, Lin Fan jumped out of the hole with the pillar and looked at one of the nearby holes.

Just like with the other holes, it was filled with dense energy. Only this dense energy was different from the energy that every other item released.

This was energy that was concentrated to an extent that it was surprising that it hadn’t shattered the restriction array already. But that was also a demonstration of just how powerful the restriction array was.

After standing over the hole, Lin Fan suddenly said, "What do you have to offer?"

There was only silence that followed, even Xiao Mu wasn’t able to hear anything.

It seemed like the item that was inside of the hole wasn’t willing to say anything to him. So in the end, it didn’t seem like he was able to do anything with this item.

The only thing that he could do was use the token to cleanse this hole of the dense energy that filled it.

"What are you doing?"

The moment that he started doing this, that was what Xiao Mu asked. Only this wasn’t something that Xiao Mu was saying, but rather it was coming from the sealed item inside of the hole.

There was even a trace of rage that was in Xiao Mu’s voice as it said this.

Once again, this wasn’t from Xiao Mu. This was what was coming from the sealed item and Xiao Mu was just passing it on.

Lin Fan was surprised to hear this response from the sealed item since most of the sealed items didn’t react like this when they were cleansed. Most of them just directly cursed him out or they would lose the ability to say anything as they were sealed away.

Since it seemed like this sealed item was willing to talk now, Lin Fan chose to stop cleansing the hole.

Instead, he asked, "What else would I be doing? You should know what kind of place this is and why I would be doing this."

"And if I said stop?"

It seemed like this sealed item really was different from any other that he had met so far.

Not only was it able to hold back the anger that it felt, it seemed like it was able to think much more clearly than the other items. If the other sealed items were considered children, then this one was considered an adult.

"I don’t really have a reason to stop." Then after a pause, Lin Fan added, "Though if you told me what you could offer me, then that might change."

There was no response that came from the sealed item, which made it seem like it was no longer willing to negotiate with him.

Even after waiting a while, it didn’t seem like the sealed item was about to say anything to him.

So when he saw this, Lin Fan continued to use the token to cleanse the dense energy inside of the hole. Only that was when the sealed item started talking again.

"What do you want?"

Lin Fan was really surprised by the way that the sealed item was acting.

After all, the sealed item should already know that he was going to finish this no matter what with the way that he had acted. It wasn’t as if Lin Fan had done anything to hide that he would cleanse the hole of the dense energy.

He even made his stance more clear by doing it the second time.

So it wasn’t as if the sealed item had anything to gain now from offering anything to him.

Yet even so, it seemed like it was planning to bargain with him.

Instead of answering, Lin Fan directly asked, "What do you want?"

This was completely different from his normal style of negotiating, he was actually curious what the sealed item was planning to do in this situation. After all, there really was no way that the sealed item would be able to win like this.

"How much for you not to cleanse everything?"

Lin Fan wasn’t the only one that was surprised by this, even Xiao Mu had a confused look on its face as it said this. Xiao Mu was the one who was transcripting everything, but it didn’t make any sense at all no matter who heard it.

After thinking for a bit, Lin Fan slowly figured out what the sealed item wanted.

"So you just want to stay conscious?"

From what he saw with the other items, he could tell that they lost consciousness once they were completely sealed by the restriction array. It was only when the energy released by them reached a certain point that it weakened the restriction array a bit that they were able to regain consciousness again.

It seemed like this sealed item really was smarter than the other ones, it was no wonder it was in the Transcendence Realm.

What the sealed item really wanted was the chance to keep plotting.

It wasn’t like the other items that just gave up once Lin Fan started sealing them, it was planning on going along with this and looking for a chance to survive.

Though there was no doubt that the sealed item would try to take advantage of being conscious to do other things, it wasn’t as if there was much that they would be able to do.

The restriction arrays of the Dao Sect really were too strong.

"Just tell me what you want."

"What do you have to offer?" Lin Fan once again hit it with a steel wall as he waited for the sealed item to answer. He didn’t seem to want to play ball with the sealed item at all.

"How are you even going to accept it?"

When the sealed item threw this curveball at him, Lin Fan didn’t know how to respond.

After all, it was the truth that he wasn’t able to release even a part of the restriction array to receive the items that the sealed item offered. He had been hoping that it would come up with some sort of solution, but he knew that there wasn’t a high chance of this.

The only thing that Lin Fan could do was say, "I don’t have a way of doing this, so I guess there’s no need for us to do anything then."

As soon as he said this, he started cleansing the hole once again.

"Youngster, why are you in such a rush."

It was strange to hear this from Xiao Mu at first, but then again it wasn’t that strange since Xiao Mu was certainly older than him and Ye Qing Huan. Xiao Mu was even older than the elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect technically.

It was just that Xiao Mu was still young mentally since it had only gained sentience, so it was strange in the end.

"Tell me why I should stop." He didn’t stop cleansing the hole as he said this.

"A technique can still be transferred."

It was only after the sealed item said this that Lin Fan suddenly stopped what he was doing.

To be honest, it had already reached the point where the sealed item was desperate. If Lin Fan had continued like this, then the dense energy would have been cleansed and the sealed item would have fallen silent again.

So in the end, it had no choice but to bring this out.

Thinking about it, it seemed like the sealed item was correct.

Even though it couldn’t pass anything through the restriction array, that only applied to physical items. It was still able to pass words through to Xiao Mu and that would allow it to pass on techniques.
