Chapter 1618: This generous?

Once all of the water was gone, Lin Fan could see the true appearance of this place.

It was similar to the area that he had been in previously, it was also a place that had an array placed in it which was supplemented with the water that was there.

The space itself wasn’t big and it could only fool him because there was the water that had been blocking his view.

Now that Lin Fan could see the entire space, there was no need for him to remain here any longer. Especially since he had already drained this space of all the pure water elemental energy that was there.

However, Lin Fan definitely didn’t expect what he saw next.

It really was hard to expect this when this place clearly didn’t fit the theme of this place.

"Is that a hot spring?"

Once he saw this, Lin Fan immediately looked at the steam that was around him.

After all, he could tell that this hot spring was filled with pure water elemental energy. It was the same kind of pure water elemental energy that had been around him just a moment ago, only it was used as a hot spring instead.

If this water was being used as a hot spring, it would only make sense that the steam that came from it would be filled with pure water elemental energy as well.

If this steam was filled with pure water elemental energy like this, then it could only be for one thing and one thing only...

"There’s no pressure coming from it? It even feels like it’s invigorating me when I absorb it?" Lin Fan had to double check, but he was even more confused when he confirmed this.

After all, it didn’t feel like this was the right kind of reaction that should be coming from this. This steam should be here to protect whatever was at the center of this place from him.

"If the steam does this, what would happen if I soaked in the water?"

Lin Fan couldn’t help feeling curious about the hot spring in the end as he felt himself being more and more revitalized from the steam.

He had remained standing there because he wasn’t sure if there was some kind of side effect from absorbing the steam, but now he was certain that there weren’t any side effects.

After thinking about it, Lin Fan slowly made his way forward until he was standing in front of the hot spring. Then all of a sudden, he leaned forward and brought his arm down to dip into it.

Once he dipped his arm in, there was this familiar sensation that filled him.

"No, this is even stronger than before."

He could feel the revitalizing effect that came from dipping his arm into the hot spring and it was much stronger than what the steam had done for him.

The longer that he had his arm in the hot spring, the more certain that he was what this place was.

It was just that it didn’t make any sense to Lin Fan at all.

"Would they be so generous that they would leave this kind of rest area in this place? After all that, it feels like this is some kind of trap..."

But even if this was what he told himself, Lin Fan couldn’t find anything that proved him right. It seemed like everything that was in this place was designed to prove him wrong.

After entering this area, Lin Fan had been so focused on the hot spring alone that he hadn’t looked around the space around him.

Now that he had a proper look, he could tell that this space wasn’t locked up like the previous ones had been. As long as he wanted, he would be able to easily leave this place.

In fact, it even seemed like the array that was placed down in this area was to protect the hot spring and the ones that were soaking in it.

Everything about this place seemed to be designed to help those that had reached this point.

It was almost as if this was a reward for their hard work...

After looking around for a bit, he could tell that there were two paths for him to take.

One was the path backwards that would allow him to leave this place and return to where Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu were.

The other path was the path forward to an unknown place.

It was just that this second path was also filled with powerful pure water elemental energy, which meant that it would certainly lead him to the core of this place.

When things were put this clearly in front of him, it really was hard for him to deny it anymore.

"This really is some kind of rest spot. It’s most likely for those that just aren’t on the same level as their core disciples."

The Dao Sect really was generous to their own disciples, building something that would allow them to recover their power like this. Though it wouldn’t be that simple if Lin Fan thought about it carefully.

After looking more closely at the hot spring, he understood what this was here for.

"It’s the reward for those that could make it so far. It does help increase one’s cultivation, it’s just that it doesn’t really help me." A wry smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face as he realized this.

For him who could naturally absorb the pure water elemental energy, it didn’t really have an effect on him. But for those that couldn’t do the same, the hot spring that had been transformed into a form that was easy to absorb would be an elixir for them.

The reason that most people wanted pure elemental energy items in the first place was because of the concentrated energy that was inside of them. They were considered powerful elixirs that could help increase one’s cultivation as long as one could absorb them.

Once he figured out this room, Lin Fan didn’t care about it anymore.

The only thing that he cared about now as continuing forward and seeing if he could find the source of it all.

Though before leaving, there was one thing that Lin Fan wanted to take with him.

"Since it has such a good effect, it’s a waste to leave it here."

After pulling his hand out of the hot spring, Lin Fan just held it there above it as he activated his suction force. Only he didn’t absorb the water of the hot spring after drawing it in.

He stored this water just like he had done with the water from before.

Though when he absorbed it, Lin Fan realized that the water from the hot spring was different from the water from before. He even placed it side by side which made it easier for him to tell the difference between the two.

This water from the hot spring would no doubt be useful for not just Ye Qing Huan, but also the others in his new faction. After all, this was a form of pure water elemental energy that had been made very easy to absorb by normal cultivators.

It was designed to help those without special techniques become stronger.

Once Lin Fan had finished absorbing all of the water from the hot spring, there was a part of him that even felt that it was a bit of a pity that there was only so much of this water in the first place.

If there was more of it, then it would certainly benefit him much more.

But as he was thinking of this, Lin Fan realized something as well.

"This water in the hot spring came from the source of all pure water elemental energy in this place. If I were to absorb it and take it away, wouldn’t I gain the power to create this water as well?"

As this thought passed through his mind, he couldn’t help feeling a bit expectant.

The more that he explored this place, the more that he felt that he was learning about his own power. It seemed like the Dao Sect had studied this pure elemental energy item quite intensively, which was why they were able to come up with all of these different ways to use it.

These were ways that Lin Fan had never thought of before.

As he was about to leave, Lin Fan couldn’t help stopping himself before looking around.

Then with a single thought, he drew in all of the steam that had been around him.

It wasn’t as effective as the water itself, but this steam was also something that could help increase cultivation. Instead of leaving it here, it was better for him to take everything that he could use with him.

Only after all of the steam was collected did Lin Fan walk through the exit and head to the next room.

"Whish."

A chill ran down his spine the moment that he felt the pain from his cheek first before hearing this sound.

The fact that the sound came after the pain was enough to tell him just how fast the thing that had harmed him was.

It was just that he didn’t have much time to think about this.

Lin Fan had already adjusted and could see that there were more of these things that were coming at him. It seemed like it was coming in a wave with how densely packed all of these things were.

"Are these needles of water?"
