Chapter 61: The Real Conception, Creation Technique
Chapter 61: Chapter 61: The Real Conception, Creation Technique
"The most common and convenient way to fuse the Four Great Elements is by using Elemental Crystals. But if you use Elemental Crystals, your body won’t be able to handle it."
"Not to mention, you also want to integrate the Thunder Element and have it take a dominant role. That would increase the difficulty exponentially. To fuse five elements, you must find a balance, but I can’t see any balance in the system you’re proposing."
Radak immediately pointed out two major difficulties, both of which Andre was already aware of.
"Teacher, here’s my idea. If I use Demon Patterns representing the five great elements to replace the Elemental Crystals, I estimate a 30% chance of success."
Meeting Radak’s questioning gaze, Andre explained his concept.
"Using Demon Patterns to replace Elemental Crystals?"
Hearing this, Radak furrowed his brow. As Andre described it, the method’s success rate was indeed relatively high.
But there was an issue. If the Demon Patterns were combined but remained disconnected from each other, it could very well cause chaos, resulting in diminished returns when you cast your Witchcraft.
At that point, even if Andre’s Witchcraft possessed the power of five elements, its Magic Power consumption would be, to put it mildly, terrifying.
Even with his fused Magic Heart, Andre wouldn’t be able to sustain such terrifying consumption.
If Andre truly built his Ladder of Truth according to this plan, then his fused Magic Heart would be as good as not having one at all.
Originally, Andre’s fused Magic Heart allowed him to surpass those Wizards who had constructed a Magic Vortex.
But the Ladder of Truth Andre conceived of had far too great a Magic Power cost.
The advantage his Magic Heart provided would be completely nullified by the horrendous Magic Power consumption, and it might even become a burden.
In the Wizard World, there was a mature system to solve this problem: continuous modification, constructing more Magic Organs until all of one’s organs had been completely fused into Magic Organs.
This way, one would naturally no longer fear Magic Power consumption.
But Andre couldn’t possibly afford such modifications.
Not only did the cost of the modifications become increasingly immense, but the difficulty of each procedure would also skyrocket. The slightest mistake, and Andre would die during the process.
Faced with this reality, Radak was naturally unwilling to let Andre take such a risk. At the same time, Radak now understood why Andre had said he was walking a path no one had ever walked before.
’Only a fool would walk such a flawed path.’
"Are you really set on using Demon Patterns as a substitute?"
Radak didn’t want to see Andre go down the wrong path and asked again.
"That is my plan." Andre nodded and continued to explain his concept to Radak.
"Teacher, as you know, among Level 0 Witchcraft, the simplest is the Witchcraft Missile. Depending on the element, it is categorized into pure Witchcraft Missiles, Elemental Missiles, and other special types of missiles."
"Elemental Missiles can be combined to form a more powerful Witchcraft Missile. When the four elements are fused together, they create an Elemental Impact, with power approaching that of a Level 1 Witchcraft."
"The reason the four-element missiles can be fused is due to their many similarities. The source of these similarities is the Demon Patterns."
"So, I started thinking: what if I could fuse the Demon Patterns of a Thunder Flash Bomb into the mix and create a Five-Element Missile? If I did that, would the power of the Level 0 Witchcraft, Elemental Impact, be enhanced even further, perhaps to a level comparable to a Level 1 Witchcraft?"
"If they can be combined, then I can begin constructing my Ladder of Truth."
Andre noticed Radak’s concealed emotions and proceeded to explain the Witchcraft concept he had envisioned, which was also the prerequisite for his Ladder of Truth.
"You want to...!" After hearing Andre’s complete vision, Radak spoke just three words before falling silent.
At this moment, he understood what Andre was trying to do.
First, he would mix the powers of several great elements, and then he would enable them to convert between one another. Once completed, Andre would no longer be confined by the limitations of any specific Wizard School.
All forms of Witchcraft, as Andre mastered their respective Demon Patterns, could be stacked together and cast.
Even if Andre hadn’t fully mastered a certain Witchcraft, he could use other Demon Patterns to supplement it and cast it anyway.
In that scenario, Andre would be the Wizard version of a God of Witchcraft.
’To unify numerous forms of Witchcraft, master all schools, and even...’ At this thought, Radak couldn’t help but be stunned by Andre’s idea.
Radak took several deep breaths to calm himself.
At the same time, he began to calculate the probability of Andre’s idea succeeding.
But when the result of his calculation appeared, Radak was shocked yet again. By his calculations, the success rate for Andre’s bizarre, flaw-riddled concept had somehow reached 50%.
’How is this possible? A 50% success rate... He’s just a High Level Wizard Apprentice. How could he possibly do it?’
Radak looked at Andre, his eyes filled with shock.
The conversion and fusion of elements had always been a major challenge in the Wizard World.
If Andre succeeded, the Ladder of Truth he forged would elevate his Talent to an infinite degree.
Even a Morning Star Great Wizard would only be his starting point. The barrier between a Level 6 Great Wizard and a Truth Great Wizard would not be able to stop his progress.
But there was one condition: Andre’s Creation Technique had to succeed.
Otherwise, it was all just a castle in the air, liable to collapse in an instant.
It could even cause irreversible damage to Andre himself.
"To achieve this, you will face many difficulties. You’re aware that ever since the Witchcraft Missile family of Witchcraft was created, many people have wanted to make this simplest of spells even more powerful."
"But in the countless eons of the Wizard World’s history, why has the only successful fusion been the Elemental Impact, formed from four elements? Why has there never been a Witchcraft Missile that fuses other elements? Have you ever considered that?"
"This path is too difficult. Are you sure you want to walk it?"
After a long silence, Radak looked at Andre with an extremely complex and peculiar expression and asked earnestly.
In response, Andre confidently pointed to his own eyes.
"Teacher, my Talent Witchcraft has already helped me solve most of the problems."
Radak looked at Andre’s eyes, stunned for a moment.
"Your Talent Witchcraft... the Eye of Truth!"
"Yes. My Eye of Truth allows me to observe all changes in Energy in the world, including the various elements."
"That’s why I chose this path!"
"Teacher, I chose this path after extensive calculations and tests, combined with an assessment of my own abilities, to formulate a Ladder of Truth that is uniquely mine."
As Andre finished speaking, the worried expression on Radak’s face slowly faded away.
These words not only represented Andre’s determination but also changed Radak’s attitude toward him.
"Mm, with your Talent Witchcraft, you could indeed succeed. However, the probability of success is still very small, and you might even get stuck on it for a very long time."
"But there is an upside. When you forge your own Ladder of Truth with the Truth you discover, your achievements will surpass my own."
As Radak said this, his tone was filled with a strange, profound meaning.
He hadn’t expected Andre’s concept for his Ladder of Truth to be so comprehensive.
In fact, as he continued his calculations, Andre’s success rate kept climbing.
However, to prevent Andre from getting a big head, Radak decided to hide the success rate he had calculated from him for a while. He was worried that if Andre found out, he would become arrogant and overconfident, which could in turn lead to failure.
